OK, so don't go to Langkawi for the sole purpose of scuba diving (vis can be poor and currents strong), but if you are in Langkawi go scuba diving with these guys! Make sure you book early - they are often booked up a few weeks in advance. We are a family of divers and on this case three of us (48, 45 and 11) enjoyed a 3 dive day.
Bottom Line Up Front - an excellent team. Great selection of well maintained kit. Love the max of 2 x divers per dive master. Option to buddy line if you wish / vis gets too restricted. Dive hut is on a great place on the beach with great options for lunch (we went for the schwarma) and also to grab a drink post day of diving. All willing to go the extra mile for the customer - our son did not have a long sleeved top with him and there were a load of jellyfish, so one of the dive masters gave him his!
Warda was excellent in the build up to our trip, answering all emails in a timely and detailed manner (and pointing out that the vis is not great, but that there was always plenty to see). We arrived the day before our dives to fill in forms, show our certificates etc and also size up. You take your kit from the hut to the boat, load up and head off. 2 dives in the morning (with your Surface Interval being on a deserted beach somewhere with a coffee/tea/water and biscuits/local snacks) is comfortable. Dive sites are chosen by checking out there vis and current strength immediately prior to your dive. Dive masters are fun, happily interact, and go out of there way to find stuff for you to see (including tiny sea horses!).
So, in sum, like I said. Don't go to Langkawi to just scuba dive. But if you are in Langkawi fit a day in to go diving with these guys. You will not be disappointed!

We recently obtained our diving license and eager to explore different diving conditions. As a mother, obviously I looked for family friendly centres that prioritise safety first and at the same time able to make it enjoyable. We dived with Wardah and team whom made us felt very comfortable in the waters. My kids enjoyed having to hunt sea creatures with the low-visibility. We were surprised by a mini picnic of local delicacies and hot coffee during the breaks. I would certainly recommend this centre even though you are a beginner, with young teens, we were warmly welcomed and enjoyed our dive time in Langkawi. Here’s to the next adventure!

I had a very lovely customized experience with Warda and Dee at Langkawi Scuba. Everything about the experience felt good and assured. This wonderful husband-wife scuba team works hard to ensure that you will have a positive and enjoyable experience. They check the conditions of the water in advance of each of your dives to find the best visibility and variety for your dive experience. In my case, a passing storm the day before even threatened whether we would go diving at all. I very much appreciated their full disclosure regarding the possibility of a good dive, both in terms of safety as well as enjoyment depending on the visibility underwater. They even gave me several options based on my comfort level, so that I would have complete autonomy on how the day would go. On the boat, Dee would freedive each site first to check the visibility, make a decision, then brief me on what to expect. We were exceedingly blessed to have two spectacular dives with the best visibility they had seen all year. Thanks be to God! =)
After completing the dives, they took the time to show all the fish and sea life we experienced on the dive.
Lastly, because this was my first time diving since before the pandemic, they were very encouraging and positive about helping me feel comfortable getting back in the water after almost years. Moreover, because they never take on more than 2-3 divers per guide, you are assured of a very safe and personalized experience.
All their dive sites are in locations they’ve mapped out themselves over the years (not Pulau Payar), so you don’t have to worry about being st a dive seat with two other boats and twenty other divers.
I highly recommend Langkawi Scuba for your dive experience.

Had a great experience! My girlfriend had never dived before and Warda made her feel very comfortable and confident, even with such limited visibility on our first dive.
We then had coffee and snacks on a beautiful quiet beach before heading to a second dive site. Visibility was much better and we had a great time looking at all the sea life, including sea horses!
Great experience, thank you to Warda and all the team! We would highly recommend!

Received my Padi Certification here.. the dive school is wonderful!
The instructors really take the time to ensure you’re feeling comfortable and ready to take on the ocean — Zack is fantastic; very knowledgeable and incredibly patient.
The visibility here in general isn’t the greatest, but this leads to smaller groups and more personalized training which I found quite beneficial. Also — if you can learn to dive in low visibility it only get easier moving forward!
Highly recommend 🙂

The dive sites around the Langkawi islands are known to have limited visibility, as stated in their web site up front so that divers can have the proper expectation prior to signing up. I was hesitated whether it is worth diving here. It turned out a memorable, fun, and unique diving experience. Although indeed the visibility was not great, 3m to 4m, there are many types of fishes that we saw, and also saw unique corals. What stands out is our dive master Warda who shares her love of the ocean and marine iives here with her guests. Not only she is patient and professional, she also took great effort to make sure all divers feel safe and as comfortable as possible, and explained how to dive properly in limited visibility situation. She would point out all of the tiny sea lives to us otherwise we could not have spotted them ourselves. All dive sites are very close to the Cenang beach and the surrounding small islands are beautiful. It is a small boat so it can take small group of divers only. I didn't feel the trip was too crowded busy with too many divers, but very relaxing and enjoyable to be able to chat with the dive masters and the other divers. If you are certified diver and have not tried diving in limited visibility dive sites, you should experience this unique experience here.

Professionals who bring safety, fun, and learning to every dive. Dive instructor Ms. Warda and team run a very professional operation. We have over 115 dives in sites all over south east asia including bali, thailand, manado, east coast malaysia, sipadan, philipenes but the way Warda and team conduct the dives is so reassuring and professionally done. and ranks as one of the best operators we have experienced. Diving in Langkawi sharpens your dive skill. Visibility is not great, but if you can dive in langkawi, then you can dive anywhere in asia. What is interesting about Langkawi Scuba is they use Buddy Lines when under the water, so this is an added safety measure which is much appreciated. Good equipment that is in very good condition. Overall a great dive with a great team and good dive operator. Look forward to next dive with them. p/s don't lose your fin!

I recommend with my full heart the Langkawi Scuba school if you are looking for trustful, professional teachers to learn scuba diving!
I was terrified of learning scuba diving - I already gave up once couple of years ago with a different school - but now, years later, thank to Warda’s care, patience, and kindness, I managed to defeat my fear. She took care of me and never let me out of her sights. She took time to explain everything and show me multiple times all the necessary steps I needed to learn. Finding trust in a teacher is very important to me and Warda absolutely have my trust. I will always remember of her calming look under water when I needed confirmation that I can do this 😊
I recommend Warda and her whole crew, with them, you can be sure you learn diving according to the PADI requirements.
Thank you Warda, I hope I can scuba dive with You again!

My daughter and I did the discovery scuba diving dive with Langkawi Scuba and had an amazing experience. We were both novices and a little nervous but had no need to worry because we were in the very safe and professional hands of our instructor, Warda. She was very calm and patient throughout, went through all the safety procedures clearly and concisely so that we were soon in the water trying out the equipment before our first dive. The water isn't very clear, which we knew about beforehand, but we still saw an abundant amount of sea life including reef crabs, seahorses, false clown fish and many more in their natural habitats. Warda was very knowledgeable, knew the best places to dive and pointed out many sea creatures while keeping us both comfortable and safe. All in all an incredible morning and one we will never forget. Thank you Langkawi Scuba!

My partner and I had a fantastic experience with Langkawi Scuba.
We got a bit unlucky in that some recent rain combined with a new moon meant visibility was heavily reduced and currents unpredictable. Warda was super careful and took the time to find a dive site safe for us.
Whilst we we're only able to complete one dive that day due to the conditions, we felt safe and had an amazing experience. Visibility was only 1m, and nothing we've ever experienced before, but we got to see some great corals and plenty of sea horses.
Overall everything was simple and enjoyable. The booking process smooth, we received an honest brief the day before our dive to prepare us, and the small group size was great. Coupled with a great dive master, we couldn't have asked for more.
Would highly recommend.

Even at high season diving at langkawi isn’t very enjoyable. Visibility 20-50 cm, no big views. Some little creatures can be spotted while kissing the ground...

We would love to take you diving although we dive different divesites than the marinepark. You could have a look at our website or write us an email. Since tripadvisor does not allow me to write our contact details in this answer, please use the link provided by tripadvisor or google Langkawi Scuba to find us. Hope to hear from you soon.

Which is the best place to do scuba diving in langkawi?
Langkawi_Scuba
Langkawi, Malaysia9 contributions
We love diving the local sites, not the marinepark, because first of all the sites are close by and there are no hundreds of tourists there. Yes the visibility can be very limited but to see seahorses, nudis, shrimps, frogfish and other small creatures, you dont need to look very far. And the corals are amazing!
Hi, me and my gd planned to visit Langakwi during 19-23 July, is that still possible for a dive? Or just depend on the weather ? Thanks

Due to poor visibility and possibility of high current, not worth going for scuba diving in Langkawi. At least that's what was our experience when we visited in March this year.

We would have loved to take you diving, however, from June until the end of September the monsoon weather causes the water conditions around Langkawi to be very bad. Because of high waves and brown water we believe it is not fun or safe to go diving at all.
We are closed at that time but will be ready to take you diving again from October 1st, 2018.
For diving at that time of the year, we recommend the east coast of Malaysia, where it is then high-season.
Enjoy your time in Langkawi and we hope to be able to take you diving another time.
Best regards,
