Had a wonderful visit of the Amber fort , popularly called as the Amer fort there ... It's one mega fort and we'll kept too... Lotta bollywood movies like Jodha Akbar etc have been filmed here ... The route and parling is a challenge though...More

Don't fall for the guides and taxi drivers. If you have your own car drive yourself up to the fort entrance.

You actually have access to palace rather than the fort(which is used by army). The access is steep Rs500 will get you a wheelchair and pusher for people with mobility problems. The architecture is amazing as is the seesh mahal or mirror palace. Access road...More

We travelled by road Udaipur - Jaipur and it was interesting to see the landscape (marble factories), desert and valleys, colourful people of remote areas. It was a long ride, but it was worth it.
