We visited the Amber Fort in April and while it was ver hot (110 degrees) it was incredible! You can ride an elephant up to the fort and that was cool, but drivers expect a tip. Everything inside the fort is stunning with a wall that rivals the Great Wall in China. The fort is pretty massive and will take... More

Fantastic experience! The elephant ride up to kick off the tour gets you in the mood. Although a rough ride, since you have to sit sideways and am not straddle like you'd think, it was still great. There are photographers all up the road to the top taking pictures of you to sell you after. They charge about 100 rupee... More

A lot of people are visiting this place. There are hundreds of boys hunting you and want you to buy a lot of stuff. Most things are made in China. You can have a short ride on elephants but there are not so much to see and do.

This place is amazing. Absolutely amazing! There is quite a long queue (20/30 min) for the elephant ride but it is very worth it. There are over 100 elephants there and they seem to be in good condition and treated well (unlike Thailand experiences). The elephant ride takes 15 mins and is so exciting, with views to die for. Once... More

Amber Fort is not only grand in true sense but one of the most beautiful forts of India. It has both the Rajputana and Mughal legacy, in form of construction, art and technique. Probably it's the only fort in India, which is open in night and you can see the history under the stars too. You can ride in King... More
