Didn't stop here on the way down the mountain due to inclement weather so made the trip especially back up to visit for pizza and cidar. The selection is minimal, just ham & pineapple, pepperoni, no "meat" as such or chicken unless you like it hot & spicy which we don't. Asked to try both the non alcoholic varieties of cidar, both were offered up out of opened bottles and were flat. Prices ridiculous for "eat in" when a x4 pack is $15 but a bottle is $6 to have with pizza. Then it may as well be take away because they have no plates!!! Had to eat off a serviette. The pizza bases are at least good but no water pressure in the bathrooms when your hands are black from the pizza either. Fell very short of our expectations. Original location also had a lovely view, this has none. No play area for children.

The pizza needs to be hot. The staff (pizza chef) needs to respect the customer and refrain from extreme rudeness when asked to heat the pizza. The customer does not appreciate being told that the pizza temperature is due to them not collecting the pizza when the buzzer went off. The customer collected the pizza ten seconds after the buzzer went off! Really bad form. Won’t be going back.

I went to Bilpin to support the recovery from the bushfire. Stopped at the new shed that is still being built and saw Shane, who fought off the bushfire and saved the shed and neighbouring house. Was able to buy a case of both the apple and cloudy scrumpy - they also have a sweet apple cider and a pear cider as well as some non-alcoholic varieties. The new shed will be larger than the current shed with excellent tasting facilities.

Family and dog friendly. Our local favourite get-together and outdoor party place. Great hosts, fine pizzas, top wines and "canimals" (to takeaway), and the tasting paddle is wonderful (one between two is suggested to avoid disputes). Recommended to all our family, friends, and Katoomba cottage guests.

As you drive through Bilpin you cannot miss the big tin shed with Hillbilly Cider on the side. Time your visit around lunchtime for a great selection of wood-fired pizza's served in a COVID safe setting. As great as the pizza's are the best thing is the cider, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions being available. The Ginger Root and Apple Cider flavour is a real surprise and a very refreshing drink. Take a growler or a squealer for a straight from the tap fill or takeaway in bottles.

We dropped in & enjoyed a cider tasting & wood fired pizza. Both were delicious !!

There’s a few tables inside & plenty outside undercover & amongst the paddock.

We tried a tasting paddle & took home a 4 pack each of our two favourites. Suggest sharing the tasting paddles so you can taste them all & pick your favourite.

Definitely try a pizza while you’re there. For the drivers, the non alcoholic ginger & Apple cider is amazing !!!!

We booked before going and were seated as soon as we got there with a large group. Pizza's were delivered prepared quickly and the variety satisfied everyone. Some parts of pizza were burned, but mostly very nice.

I got up to order an Apple Calzone, which took a while as there was a crowd. When I got back to my table, the 3 slices of pizza I was going to finish before the calzone arrived and 1/3 of my cider had been cleared away without asking the rest of the table if I was returning. I looked for the waiter, but seeing that he had cleared my spot, he kept his distance and I was not going to walk across the yard to ask him about it (especially considering he was sitting with a group who were walking a Doberman back and forth through the crowd which had "In training" written on its harness). Strangely there was about 10 other random dogs in the place as well.

The calzone was ready and it was burnt. I asked about it and was told that for some reason the work experience chef puts apple juice over the top of it. I have seen browning, but this was burnt. She did offer that If I did not like burned food, that I could try another one but it would be just the same. I don't like to waste food, so picked the worst of it off and ate the best part of it.

This wrecked what could have been the enjoyable lunch that everyone else appeared to be having.

Went for a Sunday drive with no family to support a local business.
Great venue, excellent front house service but that’s where it ended .
Pizza menu limited and very average.
Head chef full of self interest especially when challenged about mix up of order . Front of house staff very professional but kitchen staff need hospitality training .
Wouldn’t recommend or go again

So on our Sunday drive this was a stop on the way home, the place was packed .... and that slowed down the service ... but the pizzas being served looked great and the cider was certainly flowing .... we got some takeaways and next time we have a fine weekend we will certainly go back and enjoy an actual tasting / the location.

Went for a drive up to Hillbilly Cider for lunch. Found that they have added another new cider and increased pizza varieties.
Was going to go for a cider and Margaretta Pizza but found they had a desert pizza being apple with caramel sauce and cream. Couldn't go past the desert pizza with coffee. It was absolutely wonderful.
You could have pizza at anytime. Cool weather go desert and coffee. Afternoon snack normal pizza and the new tasting paddle of 4 ciders of 150mls. We saw a few taking this option.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Although we arrived on lunch time 12.30pm and hadn't booked they found us a table. We ordered and pizza/coffee came very quickly.
Love the ciders and the pizzas and will be back soon.
Young kids were in the grass grounds outside enjoying a game or two.
Can not recommend Hillbilly Ciders highly enough. Great for couples, friends meeting for catch up, families or just a great stop on the way home. Thank you Hillbill Ciders for a great experience, food etc
