We have been coming here our whole lives and it is our very special place....when we return we are "coming home"...divine walks, nice cafes and that is about it...keeping it simple makes it work...nature at its best

Arriving at Palm Beach the beach was very exposed and wind rolling in. It wasn't cold as the sun was still out, but a bit too windy for enjoyment. Often when this side is windy, the other side overlooking the harbour is sheltered so the trip is never wasted.

Very pretty spot and the surf was not huge so great for young children. Water was very clean. Parking can be a problem and it is at a cost. Not a lot of shade but most people bought their own. Would have loved to spend more time there.

Palm Beach is long and sandy and about an 1.5 hours north of Sydney. Getting there is a beautiful drive as you wind up the coast through Avalon and other beach towns. I recommend heading out in the morning to get a parking spot near the beach and then visiting some very nice little restaurants next to the beach for... More

What a nice beach. Not very touristic and quite big. It is not difficult to get there, but it takes about 2 hours from Sydney by bus. It is worth visiting though

Lived the view. The lighthouse wasnt open but it was over 6,000 steps to the top. Worth the view, wear comfy shoes. Beach is awesome, jetskiing and sun bathing.

Palm beach is about an 1hr-1.5 hrs drive (depending on traffic and your route) north of Sydney. I would suggest going over the Roseville bridge and then take the Wakehurst Pkwy. (This is the quickest way) It is a very nice part of Sydney with a great beach and amazing views. Well worth the effort to get there. It is... More

Yep, nice beach but very, very busy. Parking after mid morning becomes non-existent unless you get really lucky. I was astounded at the amount of cars coming into the beach area when we were leaving at about 1pm. I am thankful we left at that time but it is a pretty area.

We had a really good time at the beach and had a nice sea bath. Bit crowded which was expected on a public holiday (Australia Day). No free parking anywhere near the beach was the downside of our visit.
