We stayed prior to our holiday further down the coast. We've stayed in New Quay before and thought The Penwig would be a nice stopping point, we wasn't disappointed. We had a lovely clean room overlooking the harbour with a comfortable bed. The manager (Gareth?) couldn't have been more attentive, we had a nice full English the next morning and... More

Can't go wrong lots of choice and a good standard. We usually manage lunch whilst out and about exploring and The Penwig always delivers a good clean meal.

Lots of tea , coffee and biscuits and bottled water. Only complaint would be the music from pub but after that it was... More

From the outside the building looked a bit tired and we hesitated to wether or not to give it a go, well we did and as soon as we walked in we got a nice warm welcome from the manager and from one of the members of staff. Inside was totally differant to outside being clean, and modern (very good... More

Most times we pay a visit to the Penwig for a meal. It never disappoints. Last week early in March 2017 we called in for a meal deal and had really good food . Really good value and nicely presented. Also got the personal attention of the manager and helpful/friendly staff! As Solos, couples and groups we always feel at... More

We spent 4 nights in Newquay in Feb and on arrival, monday, we found Newquay 'closed'. Thankfully the Penwig was open and my husband and I had chicken burgers. Reasonable and tasty. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff
