There is nothing in Hahajima. However, there is rich, great and wonderful nature. Ferries were operate between Hahajima and Chichijima three to four times per week. There were 3 supermarkets, 2 restaurants, 10 inns in the island. No luxury hotel, no Bar, no club, no ATM. The food in the island was very simple. There was a mountain like the jungle behind the village. I really enjoyed birdsong, colorful flowers, lemon and oranges trees throughout the village.

I must admit id this island and the neighboring Chichijima was a stopover on the way to somewhere else , I will not mind to stop for half day or so. But NOT to travel here all the way from Tokyo 29 hours with connection with 2 different ships, Is not much to see and there are more interesting island closer to mainland. I am not sorry i tried but it is too much trouble for very little to see.
