Look, it is quite cool, but still a rock. That being said it is in beautiful surroundings, with interesting wildlife nearby. For me the dude dressed as a chicken added significantly to its interest value.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day at Split Apple Rock beach. There is a circle drop off area before you park your car on a nearby road. The 20 min. hike into the beach is nicely layed out with wooden stairs and nice paths. The beach...More

Ideally located and one can appreciate the creative imgination of the locals. When you travel on the boat they only slow down around this beautiful rock for a few minutes, yet great to visit!

A nice place to take pictures, and probably better seen from water level by kayak. All the tour boats go by here.

We kayaked the waters of Abel Tasman park. The water is perfectly clear, just a bit cold. Water is calmer earlier in the day. There are several kayak outfitters and water taxis.

What a great way to see such a beautiful part of the world. Kaiteriteri Kayaks was relaxed and easygoing, I just wish I had booked a full day tour to see more. We had an awesome guide for the day, Krystal. She made what was...More
