The small town of Alarcon is a very interesting place with several good walks with lots of beautiful scenery. The tower on the outskirts is still partially walled leading down to the first entrance gateway. Good views of the town from here and on the nearby car park.

The tower which you come across before you enter the village give you a taste of what is to come. You get a fabulous view of the river, the castle, the village and the 2 other surrounding tower. A wonderful little village, one of Spain's secrets.

The castle has been converted into a parador

Before you enter the great, but small city of Alarcon stop at the first tower before going on the bridge to the town. If you are coming by car just do it, if you are coming by bus force your tour guide or bus driver - this are the best and most breathtaking views on the city. This is the best example that some things look better on the outside. And don't take me wrong - Alarcon is worth coming, so you just can imagine how great the views from this spot are!
