We climb the Peñol rock at 10 am, which is perfect cause there are not a lot of people. Bring comfy clothes! You have to go (aprox) 700 steps up! But the view is refreshing!

Climb the steep stairs to the top of the monolith for a 360 view of the surrounding areas. Slightly overpriced but the view is excellent on a clear day.

Absolutely stunning views! Worth the hike and the small fee. This is a must do when in Guatape! We loved it.

You just can't miss El Penon in Medellin. Well, not really Medellin since it's 80-odd miles off the magical city. You take metro to Caribe Station and then take a buss from Transport de Norte (from no. 14 counter). The drive is extremely pleasant but...More

We went by bus by ourselves, so no guide, 2h single drive from Medellin metro station Caribe, with a big bus terminal. The bus ride is quite uncomfortable but also very cheap like 11 000 pesos each. The view from the top is amazing, 360...More
