An excellent tour, totally perfect in quality/price ratio. It is completely worth taking it and knowing everything it offers. Furthermore, our guide Juliana was very kind and we couldn't have had a better guide. I 100% recommend climbing the Peñón rock, it is an unparalleled experience and you will not regret it when you are at the top, it is beautiful. I would definitely repeat this tour again and recommend it to my acquaintances, thank you very much!!

I loved my experience, I went with my family and we really enjoyed it. The tour guide (Stiven Gonzales) treated us the best, he has a lot of kindness, devotion and knowledge. I rate the experience itself with a 4.2/5 but with him as a tour guide I give it a full 5/5.

The tour was very complete, accompaniment from the beginning to the end, clear information about prices, reservation, pick-up point, etc., comfortable transportation, there was information about the places of interest, the included meals were very delicious and the beautiful places. David, the Guide, very attentive, made us feel comfortable. 100% recommended.

This opinion is NOT about the management of the agency, which has been professional and within standards. This opinion is about Guatape and your visit.
UNNECESSARY.
Let me explain, if you enjoy getting to know the culture of Colombia, Antioquia or Medellin. This excursion has none of that.
It is a fundraising tool for tourists. With a tradition invented 50 years ago and that involves losing a day of tourism.
The trip is 2 hours and eternal to reach a route made for tourists.
Low-spend and get on the bus would be the summary of the excursion.
The rock, yes, curious but come on, Medellin has many curious things that we could enjoy without going through a route made only for you to consume as tourists.
I would not EVER recommend it, not with this agency. If not with any. A tour to eliminate from tourist plans.
I hope this review allows you to save a day of your experience in MedellÃn.

Departure by bus for around fifty people from your hotel
Stop for breakfast which is not really qualitative
Visit to Penol (not included in the price)
Then departure to Guatape: we only had an hour, we would have liked to have had more time to enjoy it
In fact, you have to go back to eat in a restaurant where you are served a single dish, not very qualitative, not in huge quantities.
Then a 40-minute speedboat ride with loud music!
Stop for 20 minutes then return to the hotel at the end of the day!
We did not have any explanations on the history of the place from the guide who is there only to give the visiting times.

This agency was recommended to me at my hostel and I found it to be of a high level.
They pick you up at your accommodation at the agreed time, the prices are very affordable and the tour itself is highly recommended. Comfortable transportation, friendly guides, delicious food and appropriate times.
When I travel to Colombia I will clearly contract with them.

I took several tours but I am going to refer to the one in GUATAPE.
I understand that the times are limited but the work of the Guide -In this case Janeth- must be to accompany, not just to give basic information on the bus, get off first and only see her again at the indicated meeting point. I think that the guide should wait for all the tourists to get off the bus, clarify doubts, guide the tourists who require it and then allow the movement of each family group.

Was the tour to Guatape. It is a very touristy tour (which isn't…) but definitely worth it. Guatape is a beautiful colorful town and climbing the rock is a challenge, rewarded with a fantastic view! Including breakfast and lunch, I don't understand how this can be done for so little money. Recommended!!

It is my third tour with Maxi tours. Very good service, we had Juliana Cardoso as a guide today for the Guatape tour, the explanation was very detailed. A very friendly guide, attentive with good energy.
Everything was very punctual, breakfast and lunch were also very good.
I recommend them!

The tour looked for us near the hotel. The 1st stop is for breakfast near Guatape. We went to the Peñol where I walked around, since I didn't climb the Peñol. I had a good time waiting for the other people to climb the Peñol. We visited the town of Zocalos, the replica of the Peñol, the dam, among others. The time we stayed in the places was good, although we did not have time to see everything. The guide Juliana is very knowledgeable about the topics and answers questions. The excellent driver.
