I went to Shashur Monastery. The panoramic view of the river, mountains and Keylong town from the monastery is amazing. The prayer rooms are bedecked with large paintings and wall paintings, making this place even more worth the visit. It is great place to go.

The climb is very difficult to Shashur monastery. Road was narrow at places and the drive is especially difficult if you have a minivan with 7 people. We covered the distance partly by vehicle and partly on foot. When we reached the Gompa it was...More

Must pay a visit to this monastery. Its very good. Little far from Keylong and the road is not so wide like Manali-Leh highway. But this place is easily reachable from Keylong.
