Pangna was a part of erstwhile Suket princely state, which was among the earliest to join independent India. The valley was so secure that its kings had given it importance like a capital. The valley is largely unexplored and is a home of many ancient temples. Houses are still in old style and agriculture is largely organic. Those willing to enjoy rural tourism, it is an area to visit.

Spot for solitude it's 4-5 hrs drive thru virgin territory beyond simla via tattapani. We were fortunate to get half day snowfall even in March... Which carpeted entire valley and mountains. We stayed at HPTDC Mamleshwar at Chindi.. Small hamlet before Karsog famous for beautiful views. Karsog has kamksha devi temple and Mamleshwar temple...with mythological significance and later one has one single grain of wheat weighing 250 gms.. You have to ask pujari to show it to you..again this has mythological value. Overall adventure.. driving... solitude combined together.

It is a beautifull valley but hardly visited by travellers. Offer lush green meadows and apple orchards.

WOW, I would like to recommend people to come and explore Himachal beyond Shimla and Manali. This is an unexploited Valley still far away from pollution and mindless construction activities. No luxuries available though.

Historically, Pangna was the first capital of Sen dynesty of Suket State and later shifted to present SunderNagar. The place have at present a hill architecture kila or a temple dedicated to princess of state. The place have PWD rest house to stay. Overall Karsog valley is worth to visit . The driving is to enjoy with scenic of Deodar trees all along with Pine mix. Abundance places are to eat and stay. may not be luxury but comfortable, one among is state tourism at Chindi.

This an ancient fort surrounded by mountains and the view is nearly panoramic. The climate remains chilly through out the year which is obvious considering there are The Himalaya mountains nearby.
A must visit place.
