We love this lake. It is clean and spacious. Plenty of space in the sun and in the shade, which ever you prefer. Some nice food trucks and a restaurant around.

This is an unusual place as its tucked away, almost hidden. Lake with an island and sandy beaches which is popular with those who know where it is. Nice woods to walk in, only trouble is you have to pay to park.

Together with the Pyramide of Austerlitz one of the spots the village Woudenberg is know for. Nice little lake with a sand beach. Takes about two hours to walk around it. Every year there's a Dance Event neat the lake called Brothers Open Air or Ventureland at this moment. Two downsides, the bottom of the lake isn't very clean. You have to entertain yourself, there isn't a recreation team or something similar.

We stay at nearby camping and caravan park, great to visit on a hot day for the beach/lake. Also great to visit on an overcast day for cycling round too. Really recommended.

Really great nature with fabulous views
but!!!!
The area is fenced and you are paying entrance fee- 3,35 EURO per person plus parking
For this in return you will not find any toilets, the ones you will find will be closed. So far from civilized experience

Nice place to walk and run during fall and winter. In summer it can be quite crowded. In any season, this place is like a paradise.

We visited this site in the spring, almost nobody were around. It was very romantic when you walked around and saw nobody else. It's kind of an exotic Island in the middle. The water is very clear. Luckily we were there before all changed.

In between all the busy cities and a hectic life, you can enjoy a day at the beach at this lake. The water is very clean. The beach is clean. The woods are clean. And it is not that busy. A wonderful place for a day of rest and relaxation. There is a lot of parking space. And there are places to get your ice-cream and your drinks.
Of course you can enjoy a walk in nature. Or a swim. Or you just enjoy a day of lazy in the sun☀️😎

And no: it is not a beach at the sea. It is a lake. But the feeling is almost the same. Almost.
Enjoy!!

I know the place inside out. Been here since 1970 when it was called zandgat (sandhole) and not open to tourists. Those days are long gone. What it is now is a really good day trip from Amersfoort/Utrecht on a sunny day either in winter (ice and skating) and summer. The water is very clean with a proper control on quality.

But even in spring or autumn it's a great walk around the lake and get some fresh air.

It's a great day/afternoon for the whole family. The water is never deeper than where you can still stand so it's perfectly safe for little children.

Parking is available for both cars and (motor)bikes. Location in the woods, walks in Den Treek is available and if you like this kind of walks, strongly recommended.

Beautifully located in the woods, a vast shallow lake with sandy beaches. Ideal for relaxing and playing with the family. Or, in winter, iceskating.
