Laemchabang is the port for Bangkok. It is probably half way between the two main towns in the region that is Bangkok and Pattaya. Cruise ships pull into this spot for Bangkok. About 90 minutes travel into Bangkok or Pattaya depending on the time of day. Most cruise ships advertise tours but a better option is to walk outside the port gates and catch a taxi. To Pattaya expect to pay about $60 oz $. But this is negotiable and based on the driver staying with you to bring you back the same day. Pay when you get back and all should be good. Our driver was a female, knew all the spots, could translate and we had lunch together. All day she was really good and we learnt so much.

Our cruise ship docked at Laem Chabang and this would be the closest mall to the port. It takes about 10 minutes by taxi. Harbor Mall is very much a local mall for the Thais. There were hardly any tourists here. The biggest shop here is Tesco Supermarket. Lots of local restaurants and small shops. It is nice to shop in aircon comfort. However we had to wait for a taxi as there was hardly any taxi around. We paid 300 bahts to get back to the port. A tip - you need to negotiate with the taxi driver before boarding.

For those not wishing to venture further or not booked for land tours. This is a good break stop. You can Shop, get a massage, drink coke n get Wifi for US3 (for 3 hrs) plus a can of coke- much cheaper than what you pay on board the cruise ship (around US70 for 1/3 the time for wifi. God for stretching your legs, n breaking the monotony of the ship.

Mall far away from main stream areas
A but quiet when we went there
There are no foreigners as it is not close to any tourist areas
Only thai people visit
No much special
But fairly clean as possibly renovated recently
Movie cinema has all movies in just thai language
No English at all
Not worth a special trip to see this shopping centre

We ended up at this port whilst on a cruise, it kind of sits about 2.3 hours from Bangcock (5hours travel there and back) or 40 mins from Pattaya which is a beach side city We chose the later as a matter of convenience and had a great day, plenty of shops/malls.....lots to see and do

This restaurant is on level 2 it has a buffet and hot pot as well as grill if you are looking for something different, you should try this place.

The most convenient way to travel from the port to Harbor Mall is by Taxi or Grab Car. It shouldn't take more than 30 minutes and the price is around 200 THB.

Is the Harbour Laem Chabang Mall located at a walkable distance from the Cruise Ship Terminal Port? If so, how long is the walk? If not walkable, are there buses readily available near the Cruise Ship Port? Thank you!

Since there is no public transportation inside the port, it seems you must take your cruise ship's shuttle to Harbor Laemchabang or it would take about 20 mins walk from the port to the mall.

Just present your passport, taxi is everywhere so it's easy for you traveler the fare for the taxi, it depend upon you and the driver if you'll pay him with a fix rate. Just talk to him nicely :)

May I know how far to walk from the cruise to get a taxi outside the cruise terminal?

The taxi are just right outside the terminal. If you want to get little bit cheaper, you can walk outside the big fence, there are locals offering taxi service too, like 3 mins walk. To Harbor Mall if I am not mistaken like 15-20$. I am sure there is massage in Harbor Mall, even in the Cruise Ship Terminal there is a spot to get a massage.

Open at 1000 when we have arrived on three occasions. We have always left by mid afternoon but I believe it is open until 2200/2300.
