We called and made a reservation for the caves at 13 a clock. The gentleman who took our reservation told us to be there 5 minutes before the tour. When we arrived we were meet by really upset tourists that recommended us to not go in to the caves. The man at the counter came out and started to argue with the lady and yelled at here. Afterwords the man tried to move your tour later in the afternoon which made us skip the tour. The staffs didn’t seemed interested to help us at all.

Nice (slippery) walk through a long an winding road (with some stairs) through the caves. The guide spoke French, Dutch and English.

Still a nice experience.
The caves itself are not the best in the country. But the boat ride is special. Very special.
The spiral staircase from the 30ies. Crazy. I love it.

The times given in the book weren't the times the owner wanted to be open, but he sulkily found a guide and opened up after all, so we had a private tour. The guide was friendly and knew the script he had studied. Don't go asking complex questions :) The water was low (it hadn't been raining a whole lot) so we were able to complete the walk and the boat trip (which the guide knew completely off by heart, so was able to punt without looking where he was going) through the gorgeous caves and along the longest underground river in Europe quickly and dryly. Very beautiful caves, very worth visiting.

It was alright but the tour guide didn’t speak any English nor did any of the other people in the tour group and being from good ol Blighty I don’t really speak any French.
Rather dangerous really as I didn’t know the do’s and don’t’s of the tour.

So I just stood there whilst everyone else was having a giggle with the tour guide. He asked me a question in French I didn’t answer everyone laughed so I felt really uneasy on this to be honest.

Boat ride was out of action because of the low water levels which is fair enough so no points taken away from that. Gave a 20% discount because of it.

Just wished they said it would not be in English otherwise I wouldn’t of bothered.

Free parking on N697 just around the corner from the caves one way street.

Took my ten year old here. He already visited the caves of Frassassi so this was nothinh special. The only interesting element is the boat ride back, just like I rememberred. Plus some staff is ok, but most are Wallonian, French speaking Belgians, who are just like French; rude and not service oriented

An extraordinary guide, he was really funny and he spoke several languages, a nice cave and an unexpected boat trip underground.

This was a really neat tour, and a highlight of our time in Europe! The only thing I would say was a flaw was the language barrier, our tour guide had limited English but it was fine. Also, some tips: wear close-toed shoes, bring a sweatshirt/rain jacket, and I don't recommend this if you are claustrophobic and/or afraid of heights. Pictures don't do it justice, so it's a must see!

Amazing place, the cave itself is beautiful and the boat trip at the end is absolutely amazing. We loved every second of it. The guide was very surprised in the end when heard us speaking English because we didn't ask him to translate for us. Something he was capable of. We said it was ok because we could understand French as well. So I don't understand the negative comments about the guides. This place is amazing, the only negative is the waiting time but, when you get inside, you forget about it. This place should be top of the list if you visit Belgium. Superb.
