When in the area you should definitely pay a visit. A raging Almbach, playful waterfalls, and stunning colors. (Make sure to bring cash for the ticket machine)

The Almbachklamm is an exciting canyon you can walk throug, with stairs and bridges. But remember: you need cash because there is no internet possible and no payment by card. Entrance € 6, you need strong boots, the way may be slippery. The visit takes through the canyon and back about 2 and a half hours. When you are back at the entrance, there is the Inn Kugelmühle where you can have an excellent meal all day long, but remember no cards! No wifi !!!

This gorge is incredibly beautiful! Too many waterfalls to count, sparkling pools, just amazing. I have a bad leg and didn't quite make it to the top. Most of the paths are fairly easy, but there are quite a few stairs and about 3/4 of the way, my leg was pretty much done with stairs. I waited on a bench (there are benches throughout the journey) for my husband to get to the top and meet me on the way back down (you come down the same way you went up). Not challenging at all for anyone in normal condition. Definitely worth it!

We stopped by on our way on the German A8 and the Austrian A1 motorways. The fresh air and the diversity of the gorge was highly refreshing. We arrived early and enjoyed the lonely walk.

I've done the Almbachklamm many times! It's a klamm with lots of variety, first the gorge with lots of powerful water followed by the waterfalls. Just before this waterfalls you can go into a dark forrest, on top you have a church and a cafe. Go down thru the fields with amazing views back to the parking lot. This is really my most favourite walk!
