In the middle of nowhere, up on a hill, protected my the nature, this village is one of the best witness of our past. In one day, and many walking hours is possible to discover all the precious buildings and have the chance to talk and learn from the locals.

I recommend this historic Borgo to anyone to visit. It has been nominated the Borgo pui bello D'Italia. The churches and castle are must. Once again our driver Stefano excelled himself with his choice of places for us to visit... Stefano +39 3394779893

We visited this medieval village on New Year`s Day. It was so quiet but the Il Focolare restaurant was open and we had lunch there. there are nice views from the top of the village.

Getting there was half the fun going up the long winding roads of Sicily. Our guide did not speak English so communication was difficult. A member of our group had to translate the information. The person selling tickets was late going home so there was quite a bit of screaming to rush the tour.

We had the luck to pass by while the “Insabbiata” was taking place (sort of street are where images are made with sand of different colurs) mostly religious patterns. Amazing castle to visit and lots of place where to enjoy good food.

Beautiful village and, for tourist details, you can certainly find information elsewhere.
As far as services are concerned, however, I cannot help but highlight how so much beauty can be reached via rough roads, with almost non-existent signage and poor cell phone coverage. In the historic center very few bars and restaurants.
