End if March we had a fantastic sunny but chilly day! The sun brought up all the beaty of lonely rocks and panoramic views on Isole Eolie and Etna mountain. In this specific time you are lucky to walk on a colourful carpet of springy flowers covering the grass. You can do some proper hiking with amazing views around this place. Look for ships and goats enjoying the valleys around. Half day trip to see the rocks, take more time if you fancy hiking.

If you love Stonehenge then go to Argimusco Plateau, far north Sicily Near the beautiful village Of Montalbano Elicona. The site is a kind of Prehistoric Calendar with a spectacular view over the Etna Volcano.

At the edge of the Nebrodi Park, not very easy to reach, there is a plateau characterized by rock formations of the most varied shapes that have been given names. It has not yet been ascertained whether it is only the effect of natural erosion or in certain parts there was human work but for sure the place is magical.

I don't give the highest rating not for this magnificent historical area which has a strongly spiritual and votive context... but simply because it is not well valued for what it is and could be in the future, with little information on all research channels.... when a HERITAGE like this should be brought to the attention of the whole world.
I sincerely hope we can improve all this!!!!!!

Beautiful site to discover, it's a shame that to get there you have to take a provincial road that seems more like a dirt road...

Amazing place! The megaliths that rise on the plateau evoke a magical and sacred atmosphere... it feels like being catapulted into Scotland.
I hope it remains respected and preserved forever.
