Outstanding maintenance by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission CWGC, this cemetery is the largest on french soil. It is a very poignant experience to walk around the sober graves of these very young soldiers who passed away a hundred years ago. Etaples was nicknamed "Eat...More

Parking is along the roadside, be careful when crossing. Of course the cemetary was there long before our modern day traffic so you can`t expect a big carpark, but do be careful. We visited for the first time, to see the grave of a Great...More

We visit this Cemetery every year to pay our respects to a family member and visit his grave. It is always so well kept, so peaceful and a lovely place to reflect on how lucky we are.

If you need an excuse not to fight wars, this is it. So many young men ( several women nurses) , cut down in their prime, lay here. A poignant visit.

This perfectly maintained cemetery from the fallen in WW1 is worth a visit. It should be mandatory for youth to realize that they could the next ones when a war breaks out. These monuments should be cherished.

I believe you can visit any time during day time hours. There is a lay-by outside where you can park. Just like any other military cemetery it is a very tranquil spot. Hope this helps.
