Visit to a winery museum & plantation which does not use artificial fertiliser with wine tasting @ the end of the tour
Feb 2020
The husband of the fifth generation of owner's took the three is on a guided tour of this lovely vineyard, They have kept a lot of the implements, books and photographs from previous generations and it was so nice to see the wine presses and to learn how donkeys were kept to carry the grape harvest in for pressing.as there is no use of tractors or artificial fertilisers on the land.
You have bread and cheese with your wine and have ample time to enjoy this trip, recommend you pre book as coach trips do come here.
At the end of the tour you have a wine tasting and this also offers wedding functions what a superb idea in a lovely setting.
We bought three bottles and with the three of us doing the tour @ €10 each came to €83!
Would we visit again most definitely!!!

We learned a lot!
We had a wonderful time at Bodega San Jose! The stories our guide told us about how their wine is made, was so informative and interesting. At the end of the tour, we got to taste a red and a white wine, both exquisite! We will absolutely recommend to give Bodega San Jose a visit.

Great private tour of the vineyard. Followed by a wine tasting.
Sep 2019 • Couples
We had a great time during our private tour of the vineyard. Maria showed us round the pretty grounds (which includes animals) and this was followed by a wine tasting. Both the tour and tasting were excellent and Maria was a brilliant guide!

Fantastic family-owned winery, a hidden gem
My partner and I had a private 90 minute tour of the vineyard and winery, including a wine tasting with a selection of complimentary local cheese. Our guide, Maria, was fantastic. She was very friendly and knowledgeable and told us a lot about not only the winery itself but also Gran Canaria’s culture, customs and traditions. At €10pp it was great value - we also bought two bottles of wine to take home with us, too.

Fascinating and Delicious!

We visited here on a cruise excursion. Got to taste two wines that they served with cheese made from a combination of cow, sheep and goat milk. It was all fantastic. The grounds are beautiful and the wine is delicious!

Excellent Honeymoon Visit a must see!
Feb 2019 • Couples
Whilst on honeymoon myself and my husband visited here and it was a truly lovely experience. It was so interesting to hear about the history of this family run vineyard that goes back over 100 years and our informative guide took us around the vinyard and seeing all the old machinery was great. The wine cheese and bread at the end of the tour was delicious but the most touching thing was the projector screen picture! The guide and lovely owner Christina had arranged to have a projector image put up wishing us a happy honeymoon and a bouquet of flowers! So very lovely and they are warm welcoming people. We will save our wine made by the vinyard for our first wedding anniversary and wish Christina every success for the future.
