Aurore was extremely knowledgeable about wine, she was a great host and even picked me up as I was alone without a car. We had a lovely evening tasting wines in a vineyard overlooking the vines. Great nibbles were all included, home made by Aurore.

Aurore shared 3 Rhône/Châteauneuf-du-Pape gems with us. It was crush time (late September), and we were able to see grapes being harvested, trucked and processed at a wine cooperative that was in full swing. Aurore focuses on the smaller vineyards, and customized a 3-day experience for us that included three wonderful wineries from the Rhône/Châteauneuf-du-Pape regions. Our weekend included a Sunday (wineries in France are closed, by law) in Avignon where we were able to explore the city on our own, but Aurore would have organized a tour for us if we had wanted that. She is very knowledgeable about wine and the winemaking process. Her tours focus on the Rhône/Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Bandol regions. She is building relationships with very good wineries that are not major producers, which we really appreciated. It all felt very personal. The tasting experiences were informative, fun and delicious. Aurore also arranged meal options which were very well chosen. From the perfect picnic amidst the vines to a couple of great restaurant choices, the variety was a great compliment to the wines. It was very easy to work with Aurore. She speaks English very well.…

We were advised by the Bandol’s tourism office to take the L'Insolite Wine Tour, and we haven’t regretted it for one split second. It was truly a wonderful experience. We took the “full day experience” in Bandol visiting 3 vineyards. One in the morning accompanied with a 3-course lunch menu, free amazing view included. The other two vineyards were visited in the afternoon. The second wine farmer had his own wine museum which throws you back in time and is quite impressive, especially for a private collection. The last winery is being runned by a family with 3 charming sisters and gives you the opportunity to taste some excellent tapas accompanied with great wines. Aurore -who is very knowledgeable and really passionate about her job- has chosen to work with smaller, less well-known wineries, but all with their own unique story and personal approach. For the real details, you’ll have to take the tour yourselves . The personal touch from Aurore is also much appreciated. She picks you up at the at your residence with her (airconditioned) car and drives you around, which makes it a true private experience (max. 4 people). Aurore speaks fluently French, English and a little bit Dutch. She shares a lot of information, not only about the wine and winemaking process itself, but also about the background of every winery and last but not least… the obligate wine tasting. And we can assure you, there’s quite some tasting involved. Luckily, you don’t have to drive yourself and you are brought back safely by Aurore. So, summarized: we truly had an amazing day. We loved the personal touch, the expertise and friendliness of Aurore, wineries that were chosen because of their unique stories and the fact that we’ve become a little more knowledgeable and learned a lot.…
