La torre del Barbarossa è un'alta torre civica, quadrata e divisa su sette piani, che risale all'epoca medievale. La tradizione vuole che essa sia stata fatta erigere
dall' Imperatore Federico Barbarossa, come punto di avvistamento per proteggersi dalle truppe nemiche durante le guerre contro i comuni lombardi; probabilmente essa era la torre campanaria dell'antica chiesa di San Vittore. È in stile romano gotico ed è di proprietà comunale. Ospita 9 campane, mentre dell'antico orologio si sono perse le tracce.

Questa bella torre che svetta alta e maestosa in una piccola piazzetta sarebbe stata fatta costruire da Federico il Barbarossa. Vale la pena vederla così come il semplice ma vivace centro del Borgo. Peccato non vi si possa accedere. L edificio accanto sembra avere le forme di un’antica chiesa, si trattava quindi forse di una torre campanaria di una chiesa.

E' una torre romanica, forse avanzo di un antico castello, che nei secoli è diventata il campanile della chiesa di S.Vittore, ora soppressa. Purtroppo non è visitabile all'interno, poiché c'è solo una stretta scala di ferro che sale fino alla cella campanaria, ma vale la pena stare ad osservarla anche dal basso, soprattutto dal lato dove ancora si intuisce l'abside dell'antica chiesa (ora adibito a negozio di casalinghi). E' il centro geografico di Seregno, il vero simbolo della città.

Rappresenta il punto di riferimento di Seregno. E' in pieno centro cittadino, non è visitabile all'interno tuttavia dall'adiacente piazza è possibile apprezzarne la bellezza.

This tower, visible if you walk through the historic center of Seregno, is in my opinion a true symbol of the city.
Beautiful to admire and interesting to discover its history.

Interessante struttura incastonata in una suggestiva piazzetta di Seregno. Sarebbe stato interessante vedere la costruzione originale ma tutto sommato riesce a spiccare anche così

Si dice che l'abbia fatta costtruire Federico I Hohenstaufen, meglio noto come Federico Barbarossa che è stato imperatore del Sacro Romano Impero.
Un tempo più alta e con un orologio, ben restaurata negli ultimi anni.

Non solo è molto ben tenuta, non solo è la silenziosa ma suggestiva accompagnatrice del Santuario di S.Valeria ma la sua altezza la rende un punto di riferimento strategico per chi arriva dai paesi limitrofi a Seregno, come Meda, Seveso, Cabiate ... Una presenza simbolica, spirituale e geografico-architettonica insieme
Ci ritorneremo con la bella stagione, per salirci ed ammirare il panorama. Per ora la contempliamo noi a distanza dal nostro condominio

Un pezzo di storia ben tenuta in zona pulita ordinata e ricca di servizi e bei negozi. È carina la locazione all'ora dei vesperi. .riflessi ambrati di luce gratis! Foto a go go, ok ai bambini e vestiti come vuoi..tanto si sparisce di fronte alla bellezza della storia
