Knowledgeable staff, very nice wine tasting. Good maps to help you understand the region. Free tasting of up to four wines, a fee for tasting more than four. (We tasted five wines including a grand cru, but were not charged as we placed a fairly large order.)
Our only regret is that they only propose their own labels and do not offer a sampling from other winemakers, so that we could have a better idea of what the area has to offer.

I had driven past La Chablisienne several times over the last few years thinking that the last thing I wanted to do in Chablis is taste wine in a large building and face staff behind the counter tired of pouring wine all day to tourists and showing their boredom - I am thinking particularly of Napa Valley...- but I was wrong. This Caveau de Degustation had a friendly and knowledgeable staff, we particularly enjoyed Frank who spoke English perfectly and was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and we were able to taste and purchase some wonderful Chablis wines. Prices range from very affordable (and great) to higher end. I meant to write this review last year when we visited in April 2019, but I am now taking the time to share my comments as a belated thank you to Frank who made this visit very enjoyable and to tell readers to check it out!

Starting with Petit Chablis, to the special years and the grand crus, go easy on those. The château Grenouille is their speciality.

We had a wonderful time tasting the many delicious wines and learning about Chablis. This would be the first place I would go to learn about the wines in the area - no pretension and very friendly! And the wines were all dynamite

I last visited La Chablisienne about 20 years ago, but whilst holidaying in Burgundy remembered an enjoyable tasting session at that time so decided to return on the way back to Calais. From what my memory can recall, same great wines and reasonable prices. Good service from the lady that assisted, tried several - and departed with a couple of cases of Cru and Premier Cru. Pleasant, relaxed and very modern looking.

More like a car showroom than a wine shop in feel, but very friendly welcoming staff and more than happy for us to try several wines. About a 5 minutes walk out of the main town and worth the detour.

We went on a Sunday, and there were several staff behind the counter, we had a good look around at the wines available and as nobody had approached us, they all were just interested in talking to each other. we went to the counter to ask about some of the wines and see if we could taste some. The lady who served us did not really seam that interested it what she was doing and said very little about the wines themselves. we tried four different ones and only when we said that we would like to have some did she start to show some interest. If we had not enjoyed the wines as much as we did we would just have walked out and gone elsewhere. The wines are reasonably priced and are worth trying so even though we did not get great service I still would say go to try them.

Our rep had recommended this winery. It was easy to shop and look at the labels. There was a short film - but hardly worth it. The tasting was perfunctory and only became useful with persistence. I’ve been lucky to visit wineries in Australia and NZ where they do things a little differently - usually a structured compare and contrast visit which seems to not only educate but develop sales

We are sorry to hear of the writer's experience at La Chablisienne. His representative obviously thinks highly of us as he recommended us to the writer. The four minute video is there to educate people who wish to learn more about the wine-making process and thereby make an informed choice of wine. Our wine-tastings are free and without any obligation to purchase. We have literally thousands of happy visitors each year and I suggest reading comments from other visitors on Trip Advisor who were overwhelmingly happy with their visit. Our staff are well-trained and knowlegable and take every care to satisfy each individual visitor despite the large numbers during the summer. We will continue to do our best to make your visit memorable. Thank you.

Very helpful staff, well laid out showroom, clear information. Fantastic wines.
Chablis is my No1 French white wine choice, so many wines not enough money, time or space in the van.

The girls in the shop are very knowledgeable and helpful. It was much nicer when you used to go downstairs in to the cave to try the wine.
