This was our first self-guided bike tour and my biggest concern prior to making the trip was traffic and hills. But they were not an issue on this trip which leads you through beautiful french towns with historic sites. The traffic was minimal on the roads selected and the bikes were excellent - and we are not bikers. I loved... More

We booked this trip months in advance after reading the Trip Advisor reviews talking about this company. They are all true! We corresponded with Robert about what we wanted to do, how old the kids were and how active they were, and possibly options. Once we landed on an itinerary, I used the sites recommended accommodation list to select B&B's.... More

A friend and I hired road bikes for 4 days and had a wonderful time! The bikes were very good and maintained extremely well leading to zero problems despite over 200k's covered! Great comms beforehand; knowledgeable about routes; helpful with equipment and reasonable rates. Highly recommended.

We based ourselves in Siorac and hired the bikes to do day trips. Robert was fantastic giving us maps and highlighting routes and options, and the best places to go. The bikes were in excellent condition.

This was our first cycling holiday and a bit of an experiment. We thoroughly researched all cycling holiday providers and chose Acquitaine based on reviews, speaking with Robert on the phone, the fact that there is huge flexibility to custom the itinerary and cost. We had a fantastic time. Robert is super-organised, hugely knowledgable about the area, the bikes, helmets... More

As other reviewers have indicated, Richard does an amazing job of setting up your bikes and trip. The classic tour routing was perfect for us. We loved La Belle Demeure and Villa Marguerite, but were a bit disappointed with Hotel Cro Magnon. Try to have lunch at Le Vieux Logis - amazing.

We rented bikes from Robert (Aquitaine Bikes) for 4 days. Everything about the experience was exceptional- from delivery and pick-up of bikes, making sure the bikes fit, that we had all the proper tools for the rides and giving us excellent maps and suggested routes. The bikes were wonderful- better than what I have at home. The Dordogne area of... More

What a fantastic experience we have just had using Aquitane Bike in South West France. We did the 5 day tour and got to experience the absolute heart of pre-history and a pretty excellent run of medieval history as well. Neanderthals and knights, caves and castles - good food and wine. If you are a biking enthusiast all I can... More

Thank you Robert for your prompt, efficient service delivering bikes to our Australian guests. Everything from start to finish was first class, and the little extra touches made it all the more enjoyable for everyone. Our guests were supplied with maps outlining day trips radiating out from our house - these were varied both in scenery and suitability for the... More

Aquitaine Bike says it rents bikes, but this is a huge understatement. On our tour in October 2015, we got so much more--a history of the region, the most well-planned and easy to follow routes, and higher quality (and equipped bikes) than we have had on several other self-guided bike tours. Add this to gorgeous scenery, picturesque villages, and fascinating... More
