A magnificent tour on a replica of an old cargo boat up and down la Dordogne river. Magnificent view of the Chateau Beynac and the village, also views of other chateaux. Great guide and English speaking.

We were lucky that day to get an english speaking guide - because there were a group of Australians that had prebooked a tour we could join. The guide described the history of the place with a lot of details. It’s a short trip, tranquil...More

The tour lasts 50 minutes, and costs 8.50 euros each, there were about 25 people on the boat when we went so that’s over 200 euros for a very slow trip. So what the need of the tip tray is on the way off is...More

Great little trip up the river lasting about an hour giving a great history lesson in the 100 years war both from the perspective of the English as well as the French. This wouldn't be a trip for younger children as those on our trip...More

Our family of 5 boarded the gabarres for a 50min float down the Dordogne. It was very relaxing, the scenery was beautiful and the staff friendly. I would recommend for anyone with an afternoon to spare to take this trip.

Hi, I'm not sure if you can pre book days before; we pre booked for a few hours later. Had lunch then went on the boat. So you could book in the morning and go later in the day. They are hourly except for lunchtime.
