Maison Guinguet is a local producer of sweets and confection, situated on the outskirts of the market town of Duras, and with ample parking. The range of confection is remarkable in itself, but the shop sells all manner of interesting articles for the home, including cups, mugs, aprons, china, wall hangings, but of course the main attraction is the chocolate.... This establishment makes the best chocolates in the area, and sells at a reasonable price. Furthermore you can taste the products before you buy. Also on sale is a variety of goods ranging from porcelain to prunes. Well worth a visit!

Did not do the tour. But the perfume of cocoa hits you as soon as you enter the shop. Chocolate dipped prunes. Wonderful

This gem sells wonderful gifts and goodies and is well worth a visit. Gift wrapped chocolate - white, plain and dark covering all sorts of nuts, ginger as well as prunes offers a different experience. When visiting Duras this is one place not to be missed.

Excellent Chocolate factory with plenty of tasting samples. I loved the Dark Chocolate covered orange peal! Reasonable prices.

We went to France to see the dordogne and buy wine. This however was a gem of a find. My 2 year old did think it was an all you can eat chocolate buffet when he saw the samples available to try. There were so many nice ones it was hard to choose. I wanted so badly to buy half... More

This is a chocolate experience you won't regret - this fine chocolate comes in a variety of flavours and shapes, unusual combinations and beautiful presentation packages. There is something for everyone, gifts for family and friends as well as small packs in a huge choice of chocolate varieties. Some have prunes in, also from the local area, others have crunchy... We discovered Maison Guinguet at Christmas 2015, and were delighted to have found a fantastic shop that sells such a variety of succulent chocolates. We went back at Easter and were not disappointed! Every time we have visitors, we bring them here! Highly recommended.
