    Such good value for money
This was brilliant! I couldn't get over how it was only 9.90 euros for an adult. There was so much to see and lots of feeding/animal/bird encounters included. The cafe is really cheap, which was good as it was very hot and we needed to keep buying drinks. Even the ice creams were cheaper than anywhere else. It was explained in English and Spanish about the rescue side of it, which was interesting and heartwarming. And the cactus walk was amazing.

    Fantastic day out!
This was one of my favourite animal experiences ever - you can get up so close to them! The animals seem genuinely loved by the amazing staff, they go above and beyond to treat them well. I think it helped that we visited on a fairly cloudy cool day as they all seemed alert and very keen on interaction. It’s always sad to see animals in captivity but the rescue centre has helped these animals in many different ways saving them from lives of abandonment/captivity/human entertainment and have tried to provide them with stimulation as best they can. I can’t rate this centre highly enough, if you’re in Gran Canaria you should definitely go!

Nice place to visit with kids
One of the loveliest spots we explored in Gran Canaria! The bird feeding and reptile shows were absolutely delightful. The kids were thrilled to see snakes and reptiles up close without any barriers. We stumbled upon this gem by chance and never once regretted altering our plans to spend half the day in this charming place

A must for all the family
Love this place, we have to go there when we visit Gran Canaria. All the animals are rescued ones and very well looked after. Only open (at the time of our stay) Friday, Saturday & Sunday. For Adults and children alike.

    Great day
We had such a good time at the rescue park. I recommend you attend the talks and interactions, they are definitely worth it. Very cheap to get in and you could easily stay for hours. There's places for food and drink if you need anything.

    Más que cocodrilos!
Loved it! Not a zoo. That's quite apparent when you begin to walk around. You're met at every turn with information about the sad origins of many of these rescued creatures. All looked in tip top condition, despite some of their origins. The keepers and staff really make an effort to explain their work. It is inevitably sad to see a great Bengal tiger in confinement, no matter how well cared for, but obviously impossible to return an animal like this to the wild, even if the wild still exists. Crocodile feeding time is a great experience. Clearly explained by the handler, in three languages. ¡Qué interesante la visita! Ustedes deberián ser múy orgullosos de sus trabajos. Muchisímas gracias.

    Great little park
Bargain price for how great the experience was. A ton of cool talks and feeding time. I I recommend getting here around 11am and going to all the talks, it'll show you the majority of the park. This is a small activity so expect it to last about two hours. But well worth it!

A must visit in Gran Canaria
Visited as a family with 3 children 8,7 and 3! Fantastic morning out. Very interactive and knowledgable. We visited the Cocodrilo park as well as the Palmitos park and this completely whipped Palmitos park! And at a fraction of the price. Should be more expensive to go as was brilliant. Kids loved it, we loved it and the staff adore the animals.

I’ll start off by saying if your anywhere near Anfi beach or Puerto Rico I wouldn’t bother going to this zoo, it cost me £50 there and £50 back because of the distance. It’s in the middle of no where hence why the price so low for tickets . Another con was when they do shows they speak in Spanish so I couldn’t understand a thing, I’d also recommend going late. We went first thing in morning however they get you to wait hours before doing any shows ie feeding animals etc, the park only takes about an hour to complete so waiting around from 10:30 till 3pm is ridiculous. They also apparently have monkeys there, I didn’t see one. Places was okay, some big crocs but that’s the best thing there.

An excellent day out. Went with friends. We had a hire car, the parking was very close. For the price of 9.90 euros we felt this was very good value for money. Was a great place, lots to see, explore and do.

Clean toilets also a nice place to grab some snacks, drinks and ice cream!

The weather was in our favour and was so nice walking around and seeing all the animals. Would definitely highly recommend this place and definitely visit again if in Las Palmas! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Writing a review to provide some balance to the other reviews.

Realistically you won't get to Cocodrilo by public transport as it is remote although a taxi from Playa del Ingles was about 25 Euro so not too expensive. There is a mythical free bus but I couldn't find any details of it and you could bus and taxi but from a cost/benefit viewpoint we didn't bother.

It is small and our 2 year old and 3 year old toddlers were over it after an hour and as we were at the exit anyway we left. Animals appear well cared for and there are a lot of crocs, other reptiles and snakes but not so many other animals.

We saw the bird feeding time which was very Latin. Super loud music was continually played for some reason and then the 'presenter' shouted over it into a tannoy. Was so glad we weren't locked into the cage with the birds and it felt completely unnecessary and I was concerned for the children's hearing as well as my own. Surely this isn't good for the animals either. Similar loud and incomprehensible announcements as you walk around the park.

We didn't go to the restaurant but looked like standard chicken nuggets and chips fare so I wouldn't get your hopes up there.

Perhaps with older children you could make a day of it but think about going with toddlers.

My Grandson and I caught the free bus from San Agustin, it took about 20 mind to get there. We arrived about 11 and the bus would be leaving at 2.15,plenty of time.
The admission was reasonable, especially as it is a rescue centre for various types of animals.
There are lots of crocodiles, alligators, porcupines, tortoise, birds, snakes and many others.
The restaurant was brilliant, great food for a reasonable price, the food itself was very good.
I did mention to one member of staff that there should be more signs in English and Germans around the park and exhibits, although they seem to have plenty when it comes to selling to the visiting customers. Prime example, and I’m sure they must have lots of people making this mistake, walking into the walk in bird aviary through the exit. I did mention this to a member of staff, a couple of extra signs would make the staff and customers lives a lot easier.
Definitely worth a visit.

This park is about saving animals that have been trafficked as well as being on the endangered list, so it is well worth supporting. for 9.90 euros, at lunchtimes you even get to see feeding of various animals. This is a small park but offers a range of species from the animal kingdom and is very focused on the children having a good experience.

Park itself was nice. It clearly advised that the park is not a zoo but a shelter for tropical animals who have been either mistreated and/or hold, rescued due to illegal traffic.
In general animals have spaces to move, only the horses and goats have not much space.
There was no tiger at all.
Price of €9.99 is really reasonable.

Negative: some animal area could be refreshed/renovated; paints are gone.
Some food look not so fresh: salad looks like little old but maybe are quickly dry due to geographic situation (sunny, dry).

Overall, nice place.

The park was quite small but the activities and feeding are fun, and the animals look well cared for. The aviary is very funny and lots of different birds live together. Good value for money.

The park is a rescue centre - not a zoo. Although it definitely has a zoo feel to it. It’s located in the middle of nowhere and while entry is cheap (€22ish for 2 adults and 1 child) it cost €40 each way from Playa del Inglés in a taxi. So unless you’re renting a car…. I wouldn’t recommend it.
Because of its location, it’s very hot, so take a fan/hat/ and plenty of sun screen.
There is a decent cafe with simple food like hotdogs or chicken nuggets and ice-creams/slushies/beers.
There are a lot of different reptiles and other animals but felt the park wasn’t well signposted and it lacked detailed information/facts about each type of animal. The information we did find wasn’t even in the enclosures but posted nearby.
Overall a decent day out if you have hired a car.

I came here 10 years ago, so I really wanted to come back. We took the free bus from Waikiki Hotel and we were at the park about 40 minutes later.

We bought our tickets and headed straight for the bird enclosure where we sat in the enclosure and saw lots of different birds being fed as well as rabbits in the enclosure. It was so amazing to be so close to nature in this way.

Then it was off to the monkey enclosure to watch the chimpanzees being fed and after that we saw and handled a snake, a tortoise and a Canarian dog.

After that, we viewed the tigers being fed - so amazing to see them up close!

We saw many crocodiles of course and we also had the chance to hold a baby alligator.

What amazed us was that we could make these photos of holding the baby alligator or snake with our own phones/cameras and no charge was made. So the park does not make money out of the animals by making them perform stunts or make money out of photos which we really liked.

The only thing was it felt really rushed as the free bus service comes back for you within a few hours. We would have liked longer in the park to take in more of the animals and possibly have lunch.

But, it is a fantastic park, highly recommended!
