Very pretty beach.
Well maintained, soft sand, no litter. A soothing calm and very respectful people present..
A few nudists, but not disturbing for us..!

Sublime, translucent water! However, we quickly lose our footing, then it goes up, then it goes down again... watch out for the children!

The Playazo de Rodalquilar is a marvel, one of the most beautiful I have seen. It is located in the heart of a nature reserve and is made up of fine sand. The beach is lined with rocks shaped by erosion. The site is dominated by an ancient fortress.

We were here a half day on the hidden beach under the “castle”. After the afternoon trip to Playa de los Muertos,we decided to come back for the evening and night. It was magic: the dinner picknic, evening bath, night under the sky without lights, the sunrise, empty beach,..

The water is sparkling clean and the beach is safe for swimming close in. There are some nudists but it is big enough for all. The fort is worth walking up to, but it is not possible to go inside. There is ample car parking space.

The first time we visited it was stormy so we watched the waves and stood on the cliffs. Spectacular. We visited twice more and were able to sunbathe and swim. The beach is part nudist but most people had swimming costumes on. There were quite a few dogs about. You can drive right up to the beach and there is space to park campervans but I imagine the limited parking would get very busy in summer. A place to go if you don’t like cafes, sunbeds, crowds and shops.

Stick to the left to avoid the nudists. Nice views on the castle and on the mountains. The sand is whitish and not as thin as the blackish one, so it's easier to get rid of it.
