My wife and I visited Lugano on an overcast, rainy weekend. Our hotel package include the entrance fee to the Swissminiatur. If not for that we probably wouldn't have gone there, but we were very pleasantly surprised. This place is definitely worth a visit! The detail of the models, all the moving parts and variety of things to see were... More

This place was smaller than I expected but perfect to get around with small children. The tiny replicas of significant buildings, structures and places of interest in Switzerland were fascinating. Really a true work of precision and artistry. The kids loved the mini train that took them around the park and the bumper cars. Of course they were dying to... More

Looking for things to do near Lugano, saw this listing and decided to spend an afternoon -- in truth, we walked in and thought it was going to be a very short visit, but in the end the detail kept us marveling at each and every separate piece (there are more than 170 separate models!). The food was very good,... More

Wonderful highlights of Switzerland, most of which are very well made. Unfortunately, due to being exposed to the elements wear and tear is quite evident and many exhibits require restoration. Probably for this reason the price is also quite high. It was rather hard to find a parking spot

We were so awed by the masterpiece, it is truly amazing how masters can capture the tiny little statues and all the details so skillfully. I highly recommend visiting the place as nothing will compare, in my opinion. It's the entire large territory that you have to walk through to enjoy it.

I was here many years ago as a child, and remembered the place as very interesting. Now, as an adult, I'm still impressed. The amazingly intricate work, that goes into the construction of these miniature buildings is absolutely amazing. It's definitely worth a couple of hours, when you're in Lugano...
