Walking and sailing around Lake Lugano from Como

Lugano and its surroundings, facing the beautiful lake, have the peculiar charme of border places: here, different cultures and lordships have been in contact - or clash - since ever, making these land flourishing in economy and art. <br>This private tour will lead you to discover the soothing beauty of the chief town and its lake from a double perspective: a pleasant cruise will allow you to keep in sight the small, enchanting towns of Melide, Campione or Gandria; later, an easy walk will introduce you to the nice spots of the centre, with its remarkable monuments: the church of Santa Maria degli Angeli - with its Renaissance frescoes, or the cathedral of San Lorenzo.

This miniature park is pretty small and clean. There some nice constructions, but underwhelming overall. The entrance fee is very steep for what it offers. Parking on site is limited. We visited when it was quiet and it was hard to find a place, would be a nightmare in full season and no COVID situation. The (2โ‚ฌ -4 min) ride in the little water bump scooters were a blast to let out our inner child though ;-)

Despite my kids being quite young (almost 3 and 5) they got impressed by the amazing miniatures of all cantoons. this place gives a good understanding of what switzerland offers and you can make a wish list while visiting the different miniatures. i will go back again. you can visit this place in 1-2 hours.

Went with very low expectations and was blown away by the amount of detail and the size of the area. This is not a kids park, there is something for everyone. The boats, trains and motor vehicles run like a swiss clock( pardon the pun)

On easy reach from Lugano (6 minutes by train) this park (shaped after Madurodam in the Netherlans) is a fun way to see the many landmarks of Switzerland. Swiss castles dominate, followed by cathedrals and churches, and by many historic Swiss city centre squares. All of Switzerland is well represented. The railway network livens up the scenery. The only disappointing "maquette" is that of Zurich airport .. lack of detail and a missed opportunity to liven things up with moving airplane models. You can see the place in about an hour.
