Choose Market Day - Sunday -- to visit Guardiagrele. Be sure to try their special baked pastry called "Nun's Breasts". There is a nice park at the end of the main Via Roma corso looking towards the Maiella National Park. Nice spot for a cool drink from the bar at the park. Beware, parking is hard to find. If you can park in the public lot below the town center, and take the elevator up to the street level where all the activities are on Market Day.

This is a lovely hilltop village, with friendly locals, and worth visiting to see the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore and the Museum in the Crypt

It is a beautiful village to see.
Small, with a beautiful view of the sea and the other side of the Majella.
A small uphill street and alleys with churches, beautiful buildings, some historic and noble.
In short, a nice center to look at

Very busy village that is worth a visit. The cathedral, the tower and the view are unmissable. You can easily move around on foot with a nice walk that allows you to breathe in the environment and climate of Abruzzo
