We sent the vineyard a mail to make a reservation a day before. We had a perfect winetasting of 4 wines for 15 euro each and the sommelier had a big knowledge about the wines, the production, the vineyard and he also spoke a really good english. We can highly recommend this to everyone who is thinking about a visit to this family-company which is also very dog-friendly. Best wishes from Malin and Thomas, Luleå, Sweden …

NOTE: Piemontese winery tours require reservations, to ensure an English-speaking guide. Most "tours" are only 2-4 people. Do not expect gift shops a la Napa or Sonoma; these are people busy making exceptional wine. We were met in the car park by our tour guide, as we were the only ones scheduled. He was very nice and took several photographs before we started our tasting. The tasting was in a sublevel filled with boxes of "owners reserve" Dogliani with a long banquet table. Still, a fine experience and recommended.…

Had their wine in a wine bar in Alba and was able to make an appointment for the next day. Modern property with a bend for the classic way of producing wine. Had a great presentation and comprehensive tasting with Alberto. His knowledge and passion for the subject is very evident and lead to a great visit. Would suggest this visit for anyone from a novice to wine professional.…

At Marziano Abbona they understand how to give a good personal visit and tasting. We were welcomed by Alberto who gave an exciting visit explaining every aspect and question clearly. From wine making to how the soil, type of winemaking is reflected in the wine we tasted. They produce a lot of wines. 10 or more I guess. From every type, 2 or 3 variations. Interesting to compare these variations while tasting. Very good quality of wines and at fair prices for such quality. We tasted the barbera's, Nebbiolo's and barolo's. Still affordable barolo's to buy. Reservation required. English spoken. Tasting free of charge.…
