Lovely!

We discovered this bridge by mistake after seeing a postcard of it and looking for it on a map. It should be publicised more!
Under a highway and soaring over the Llobregat, this bridge is a lovely little piece of history with a very very interesting legend. Maybe the local administration should consider building a higher handrail, because in some spots it's dangerously low.

Interesting little bridge, worth seeing but don't go out of your way for it unless you dig bridges.

Martorell is a quiet, livable, 'normal' town. Nice for a rest, and a quick train ride to Montserrat (a couple different days I trained to the mountain, hiked up and down, and trained back.
The bridge is a nice walk through town, and down to the 'river'. The bridge is cute, non-normal, worth walking across town for (by which I mean, from the great little hotel by the train station).

A random find
Apr 2017 • Family
We find this place to be listed as point of interest in our car's GPS, so we follow the advice and give it a go. It's called bridge of devil, though I couldn't figure out why. There is nothing devilish about it. Just a bridge built in the 13 century by the Roman, then destroyed in the Spanish war and rebuilt in the 60s. The town Martorell is quite and boring, probably we are the only tourists here. On the left hand side looking down from the bridge, we find some Roman ruins. The place looks eerie and quiet, with a couple of Spanish from other city to visit. There is a panel in the beginning of the bridge indicating the history but it's all in Spanish we can only half guess what they mean. It's a good spot to take some snapshot though.
