Baqueira British Ski School. We offer ski and snowboard lessons to all levels in the resort of Baqueira in the Spanish Pyrenees. Group lessons, private lessons, guiding and off-piste trips are all available for you and your family. We have native English and Spanish instructors available throughout the season. Our parent company can also offer you holiday packages with hotel options, transfers, lift passes and more

Marcus and his trainee instructor were welcoming and a great team.
I originally booked on to group lessons however no one my level booked on for the same week so I was offered 3x 9.30am-12.30pm private lessons for the same price. This worked out really well and increased my confidence no end.
The only negative point was that the admin side of the business was a bit rubbish. It took me quite a few calls just to book in and then had to chase for confirmation of group/private lessons. Although once you get through to someone they are very helpful.
All in all I would definitely recommend BB ski school; especially as they are the only school to have native English speakers in Baquira-Baret.

BBskischool were fantastic. Conveniently placed across the street from the main gondola up the mountain, BB provided excellent instructors for both my kids and great rental equipment. The brothers that fitted s for equipment were very knowledgeable and super friendly with my kids. Fernando instructed my 9-year old who had never been skiing...after only 2 days she was cruising the blue runs. He has the patience of a saint. Jill instructed my 13-year old and had her parallel turning within 2 days. Both instructors were fun and enjoyable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND BBSKISCHOOL!

We recently booked a holiday through this company for Feb 2011 half term and have had excellent service and value for money. Tim & Annette are very welcoming and know the resort and mountains like the back of their hands. We booked the 2 star La Creu Hotel in Salardu and expected just that, however this is no way a 2 star but at least a 3 star with the standard of rooms and food available. Our room was of good size, warm & modern. The breakfast is fantastic, we struggled to find something that we wanted that wasn't available. They even break up the little sqaures of chocolate from the bars ready for you to eat! The hotel location is great, we hired a car as it is an easy 2hr drive from Toulouse Airport but even without the car the bus stops right outside the hotel door and takes you straight to the slopes. The hotel owner, dispite not speaking any english, will hug and kiss you hello and check everyday that you are OK what more could you ask for. One of the joys of this resort is that very few people speak English so have to give the Spanish language a go which can be quite entertaining!! We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and will booking the same again next year, looking forward to it already.

We had a terrible experience with Tim where we ended up having to hire our own local instructors as he only had a handful of instructors for a large and mixed group of children meaning children who had skied 15 times were skiing with near beginners. I would describe them as ski nannies rather than a ski school- fine if you are just after childcare for the day. He refused to refund us and was rude and obstructive to guests. Avoid. Local ski school is fantastic.

We were overall very happy with the instructors provided for private classes for my family (beginners) and myself (experienced but looking for areas to improve). Michelle in particular was great and really went the extra mile, which was greatly appreciated. Our gear was great too, and there were no issues with swapping out boots for a better fit, etc. This was done fast, as was fitting. No issues with gear set-up (bindings, etc.). I can't really comment on cost as I don't have a sense of what the (many) other local places are charging. The resort itself is awesome, though the village is nothing special (when compared to more traditional ski resorts).
What lets this business down is the rather chaotic and impersonal admin/booking process - I/we made multiple calls and emails yet each time had to identify and explain ourselves. It didn't feel like there was any real continuity in the experience - every discussion was like starting from scratch. At one point it was unclear if our booking (and payment in full) had even been accurately reflected, which was worrisome as we were just a week or so away from departure, with accommodation pre-paid.
While I was overall happy with the experience, I'd recommend some sort of CRM system to improve the customer experience, across web, email and phone. A smoother, more personal touch will go a long way.

BB Ski School us womderful. Tim and Annette and team are marvellous.
This year was our third visit and we were not disappointed.
This year was our youngests' first time (age 5) She was booked into mornung group lessons. After a couple of clingy mornings, by day 3 she couldn't wait to get skiiing, and by the end of the week she had conquered rhe mountain skiinf all the way top to bottom. The teachers were great especially Annette who our daughter loved.
The trip wasnt without hitch, bb have grown even in the time we have been going. So feb half term was packed and contract teachers were brought into cover. There were a few issues...
However all businesses have problems, what matters is how they are dealt with. Tim and team did a fantastic job of remedying the situation and we were delighted with them.
Fabulous week guys thank you so much. Back next year..

Ski instructors are superb with the kids - my boys will go to ski school with a smile on their faces and enjoy, learn whilst having fun!

Tim and his team in Baqueira are excellent instructors and very knowledgeable on the resort area. Well worth pre booking ro meeting up in the resort. Their website is ski inspired . co. uk

We've skied in France and Switzerland extensively, but things get more and more expensive and busier and busier. Fast forward to Feb 2011 and we decided to ski in Spain and chose Baquiera Beret. Through Google we found the BB Ski school, a family run firm who made our trip. I can't recommend Tim and Annette's service enough. Together with Dave and the rest of the team they made skiing fun at for all levels of expertise, and their excellent knowledge of the mountains opened up the area and helped us make the most of the time we had in Baquiera. If you want English language ski tuition or guiding in Baquiera and the surrounding area, then BB Ski school is the place to go.

We had Bryn for three lessons - outstanding teacher who not only knew how to ski, but his teaching and coaching style was brilliant - wish I could take him on every skiing holiday I go on in future.
