About
Come and discover the château of Champs-sur-Marne located 18km to the east of Paris and one of the finest examples of neo-classical architecture in the Île-de-France region. Its rococo decoration and rich furniture bring back to life the refined setting of Enlightenment country houses.

Unfortunately I caught this gem on TripAdvisor after it closed for the day but we still decided to go and take a peak from the outside.... What a beautiful sight. The park across the street also stunning

Beautiful chateau

Worth the visit only 30min from Paris. They close for lunch 12.30-1.30 Beautiful rooms and gardens. Equal to Versailles and Chantilly but smaller.

I went to see the exhibition on the paper dresses Isabelle de Borchgrave
It was absolutely stupendous and wonderfully presented. Quaint garden that needs a bit of work but beautiful place all in all

Not really a "chateau" but still beautiful
Apr 2019 • Solo
I was there on April 17. This was first on the list of 20 castles on Loire Valley or around that I had on my list and it has its charm. Now, I am not sure if this is only because it was the first after leaving the congested and noisy Paris but it felt like heaven. I really enjoyed the peacefulness of this place! Not a really “chateau”, there are much better once out there, it is like a large mansion but you will love the surrounding!

Great day out

We loved this chateau. So much family history, excellent audio description giving depth to the history. It’s not huge so has a feeling of a home. Interesting extras as has been used as film location. Lovely gardens and grounds.

An magnificent chateau with an interesting history
Sep 2018 • Family
The chateau is amazing. It is breathtakingly beautiful and popular for wedding photos. I would recommend the audio guide as it is one of the best I have ever used. The commentary is from the perspective of a time traveller and they aim to ensure that you get to know all the previous inhabitants of the chateau. You certainly do get that. The rooms are beautifully maintained and offer a great glimpse into the lives of the inhabitants and visitors to the chateau. The gardens are magnificent and worth a walk around at the end of the visit. A great way to spend an afternoon.

Give this a miss
Feb 2018 • Family
After Disneyland Paris, wanted to see a chateau in the local area. Arrived at 1140am to be told it shuts at 12 even though we were the only visitors on site. Wasted an hour of my life on the RER and Bus 220 to see a poor man’s version of Versailles. No effort made by staff to encourage or welcome us. Noisiel itself is not for tourists either by the look of it and seems to be taken straight out of Spiral. These guys clearly don’t need the money so I advise give it a miss.

Nov 2017 • Family
Completely out of known circuit, this jewel under restoration deserves a visit. Fantastic gardens, well preserved building and furniture, full of History and calm, so you can enjoy all the time with no crowd surrounding you.
