I did a 3 days from thursday-sunday open water diving course.
The place is very chill, staff are friendly, and the instructors are professional and knowledgable.
I would definitely go and do diving trips with them and would definitely recommend to friends and family

We've had a wonderful experience with Water Worxx in Padangbai. We were somewhat excited since this was our first dive away from Holland. The crew knows how to make you feel comfortable and gives a helping hand wherever needed. The equipment we got from them was perfect. We've got to see so many beautiful things, even a turtle! We would recommend this diving school.

My friend and I decided to do our SSI Open Water Course with, Waterworxx and we could not have been happier with our decision. Each and every staff member were incredibly nice, helpful and well-educated!
We felt very comfortable (there was even a doctor present) and enjoyed the whole program. They adapt the course and dives according to your interest and prior knowledge to find a suitable solution for everyone.
The equipment we had was almost unused and seemed to be of very high quality. We thank Peter, his wife Claudia and the whole team for this exceptional experience and would recommend it to everyone who is interested to dive in Padang Bay!

My review is from the view of a first time diver. Not over confident in the see either. We had the introductory dive experience. My thoughts as we booked were,
1/ is my Will up to date?
2/ is drowning really a peaceful way to go?
3/ does my travel insurance cover repatriation?
And....
4/ what the bloody hell am I doing!

Well it all went well, hence I'm giving a review. (And it's not posthumously!) 🙏

As soon as we met the instructors we were made to feel at ease. Lots of info before we even got wet. All our questions and fears sorted we 'togged up' in the bathrooms.
(Yes, changing facilities too)
First we dived in waist deep water. This was quite difficult. All safety procedures were tried and tested here, then all aboard the boat. A basic local boat, with out riggers and a canopy.
On arriving at dive spot, 2-3mins away, we jumped in and got in floatations jacket with its air tanks. We practiced again, went through basic hand signals as, all ok (👌), go up (👍).
Down we went. 30sec I signalled to come up. This worked, so now I was set!
We saw lots of colourful fish and a ray. We had 1-2-1 guiding. We felt totally safe and just had to battle basic human instinct to not breath underwater! Once this was done we got down to 6m!
It was safe, great fun and worth every penny of the $80.
Facility was clean and perfect, the instructors were fantastic and the equipment was new.
German/Balinese owned and operated.
My advice, use these guys. Don't go to the activity hawkers on the roadside.
Thanks guys

I always think that giving any business or attraction 5 stars reveals that the reviewer is not looking at the business with a critical eye. Everything can always be improved,if only in small ways, and just as a business begins to think it's got it nailed, life throws a curve ball.
However this dive operator gets pretty close.
I am a 40 ( almost) year diver and dive instructor; I have seen and been to a lot of third world countries to pursue my passion.
I have seen operators cut corners, take the tourist money and move on.
I have seen some downright dangerous practices that put both the new and experienced diver in jeopardy.
The owners of this business care...David and his wife, who is the local doctor, Peter and Claudia are detail oriented and professional. They are dedicated to being both safe and giving a lasting sense of enjoyment to diving in the area.
Their boat captains and they know the conditions and when it is safe to dive certain sites. Some of the diving in the area can be quite challenging, and they are not shy to call a dive site if conditions warrant. Diving the 'canyon' is a scenic wonder but there is the 'toilet' at the end where one can get flushed if conditions are right...We tried to dive this a few times but only succeeded once due to adverse currents and weather. Try diving this site either side of the full and/or new(no) moon as conditions tend to be better.
I also went to Amed with these folks which, despite the quite long van journey, was worth time and effort...the visibility was excellent and the reef full of creatures and corals, the wall was wonderful.
The reefs around the dive shop were good and the muck diving, for those with patience and good eyes, very rewarding. The only negative I can think of was that one or two of the dive guides were less attentive to customer desires/needs than I would prefer but that was a minor irritant and far from true for all the staff or dive masters.
In short these folks can be trusted and will give value for money.
This part of my trip was a more spur of the moment decision made in Malaysiaand communication with Peter over third world email was immaculate. He asked for no credit card or other guarantees,he arranged accommodation next door to the dive shop thus avoiding shuttles and taxis,he saw to it that I was picked up at Denpasar airport and transported to my hotel upon arrival, warned me of both the exit and entrance airport/immigration charges (200000 r and $25 respectively) and gave a 10% discount to dive charges because I dived more than three days.
The hotel next door to the dive shop was good if a little pricier than I would want; but it was convenient, quiet, with a nice pool and sitting area, the room was spacious and clean the A/c cold and shower hot.
The food was average at best and you won't get fat on the breakfast.
If you want to eat great Balinese food go to the port entrance where you will find an unprepossessing locals restaurant where you point to what you want to eat. About 30,000 rupiah or three dollars a meal. Makes my mouth water thinking about it. Beware the chili sauce, hot but very good. Ask the dive shop for directions...they eat there
Special note: for physically challenged divers...these guys understand...there was a 12 year old challenged male diver who was a returnee!
For those who want to learn to dive: I spent a good while on this subject with the owners, who do the teaching, and they are thorough and safe bringing both enjoyment and discipline to the process. You will be in good hands

Another trip to Water WorxX and amazed to meet so many other repeat custimers. This is always a good sign. The atmosphere is so relaxing and its a great place to have amazing dives from. As a photographer, they go out of their way to find what you are interested in, macro for me. They do the Manta Point trips in a fast boat and also run trips to other Wide Angle locations, which are astoundingly beautiful. Besides being the best place to learn to dive from, it is also excellent for experienced divers and photographers. Can't wait to go back !

My goal this holiday was to see the Manta Rays. It came true and what better than diving along with my 11 year old who is JOW! WW team did a fantastic job arranging and taking care of my kid. It was truly magical to dive with Manta Rays - a memory will be etched forever. Great Dive shop where you can relax and passionately chat about your dives. Everything else gets taken care with high level of professionalism.

I just had a great experience doing my open water course with Water WorxX. Definitely was a good choice to do it here and be luck to have a personalized course. At first I was a little bit worried to do the course because I just had dive once before and u have to get used to the open water, so if you can take the course with David because he is very good at teaching, care a lot about ur learning and u feel very comfortable when you are diving with him.

I am a disabled diver in a wheelchair, and have been diving for 25 years. I recently visited Bali, and had trouble finding a dive operation that could accommodate my disability and special needs. this was mostly due to the lack of modern dive boats with dive platforms and ladders that are easier to climb up, causing me to need some creative special assistance. I ended up with Peter and David and Claudia at water worxx. They were totally awesome! Not only were they not afraid to deal with my disability, they figured out a system to haul me up the ladder with ease to everybody! meaning me and the handsome young men who hauled my big butt up the boat ladder day after day!! also
incredibly, since I still had to walk 30 feet from where I could leave my wheelchair down the sand to their boat, they also figured out an ingenious system to help me walk on the soft sand, an extremely difficult thing for me to do, making my need to dive less awkward and humiliating than it could have been. these guys were incredible! Not to mention, that my own personal dive guide, Nyomang, On more than one occasion, kept me from drifting away in the strong currents!! all of their dive guides are very experienced and knowledgeable, and pointed out the creatures I wanted to see, leading me to sea horses, frogfish, many nudibranchs, and leaf scorpionfish, among others. thank you so much for making so little of my need for accommodation. Traveling alone as a disabled person, especially as a scuba diver, sometimes requires surrendering my dignity in order to accomplish the physical needs of getting underwater. While I am used to having to adapt to this, it's wonderfully amazing to find people who can assist me in this endeavor without making me feel handicapped. you made my diving experience in bali one to remember fondly!!

Thanks a lot for your review! We are convinced, diving is an experience everybody should be able to do. Especially for handicapped people it's an overwhelming experience: feeling neutral in the ocean and "flying" in the water! That's why we are highly motivated to figure out special ways for special people to make diving possible for everyone... Still remember you sittin in the shadow of the boat during the surface break, enjoying the ocean, the sunshine and a coffee while reading a book or having a chat with one of us :-) It was a pleasure to have you here. Hope to see you again one time, you are very welcome! Keep on bubblin.... Greetings from Water WorxX, especially your personal guide Komang!
