I highly recommend Greenwave! Feli and Alex are the best !! They will take care of you and make sur the surf lesson is adapted to your level. All the surf teachers are amazing, they know the local surf spots by heart and the groups are very small so you will for sure catch some good waves and have fun :):)

I didn’t like neither the school nor the accommodations. The teachers speak almost no English. The accommodations are almost in the basement without a door to common area. Taking this into account - the price is way too high.

This surfschool deserves 5*! An individual coaching in my language (German) and some pretty good pictures. Great surf experience.

We had great time with Alex. He is born to be a teacher. Very patient, good sense of humour, always careful about the safety. Highly recommended!! He takes the time to explain the theory at the start, never rushes you to take the next step. Very good for the total beginners as myself or my experienced partner who was able to do more.

I really couldn’t enjoy my stay there. The school is based in Punta del Hidalgo, in the north of the island, which is a very green and windy area, quite different from the south. The school itself is small, so is the village. I don’t like those schools where you meet hundreds of learners and the teacher is always too busy with other people, so at first I didn’t mind. But I couldn’t find a nice atmosphere there. The school is run by Alex. We spend some time together after surfing lessons, but I didn’t feel very welcomed. I didn’t like the way he treated me on some occasions. It was neither professional nor friendly. That was really upsetting! And I didn’t like the accommodation as well. I wasn’t expecting a luxury hotel, but I could never imagine I would sleep in a sort of basement without natural light! As for the surroundings, be aware there is no sandy beach, and the wind can be really strong and cold, so forget about having a relaxing time on the beach. Forget also about nightlife. There are a few bars where you can hang out at night, but I didn’t feel safe while walking back home, as I noticed some drunk people and drug addicts in the street. I didn’t imagine I could find something like that in such a small place. To sum up, it wasn’t an exciting experience, and I would not recommend it.

Hello Tony, here is Alex. You write that you know me, but on your profile on tripadvisor said you are from italy? We had just two italian customers in the last three years. Nathalie and Marianna. Both super happy with us. Marianne spent already the third time here and Nathalie want to come soon. ;) If you met GreenWave in the water and we didnt left waves for you i need to say sorry. We are locals, it means we know super good the spots, the waves and stream. Its normal that our customers get a lot of waves, or just a lot of more then the other surfers out there. Strange is, that there are few bad comments, just from italian people, just now when there is a italian surf school, who can´t teach round here. About the wheather, we told our customers they need luck. Sometimes we have no wind, sun and 30 degrees in winter. Sometimes we have rain, a lot of wind and cold in the midle of summer. But this is mother nature. Have a good day, Alex, CEO Green Wave Tenerife info@greenwavesurfschool.com
