One should take the opportunity to visit local attractions so while in this region we decided to go there. Not too expensive and a nice cave to see. Nothing special however it's worth the while. The guide was not so enthusiastic and it was difficult to cath any of his explications as half of the group was small noisy children. Still, nice break.

This is a small cave, nothing truly spectacular to see, but still interesting from a regional history point of view. For us it was a great thing to do on a VERY hot day and we loved our drive through the Southern Blackforest area to and from this place (we drove from Freiburg).

Went here with my wife and two children (5 & 3). As someone who has been to such caves before (israel, china) i found this one disappointing.

The Black Forest area of Germany is not an area that has may caves so on seeing this one I had to visit. There is plenty of parking with toilet and catering facility available (also a shop selling souvenirs). As well as inside and outside seating. The cave was well lit and lots of intresting formations to see as well as an underground river. The guide who took us around was excellent and gave the tour in both English and German.

Beautiful cave to visit. Loads of information, well maintained. Lot of history in it. Narration is in German and English. Little acrobatics required to manoeuvre inside the cave, but worth it.
