Nice hunting lodge

This lodge is in the lake of fusaro, near bacoli. It was used by ancient dinasty of bourbon as hunting lodge. Now it's a museum. Near there is a garden

Worth the pictures

Very close to the train station. It costs 3 euros to walk across the bridge to see the house. It would not be worth it to pay for an entire family to see it. The house was a small museum that had a few things inside it but was nothing special.

Picturesque, but not much else
Dec 2018
This is a beautiful little villa on a lake that is accessed via a little park. It is a well known spot by locals, who call it the pinocchio house. for 3 euro, you can cross the bridge and walk around inside. There is a small museum environment inside, lots of local historical photographs, paintings, and period furniture. If you have time and a few euro, head on in, if not don't feel like you are missing anything terribly amazing.

A jewel
Aug 2018 • Couples
We have been visiting this incredible site due to A. Angela TV program “Le Meraviglie d’Italia”. Despite the lack of support of local authorities: no traffic signals to reach the place, no building exceptional maintenance, we have been extremely lucky to find a professional and passionate guide that spent valuable time with our group to explain the intriguing history of this unique site. Vanvitelli architecture is embedded into a lake and from distance you could see Procida island. Thanks again Ciro Esposito !!!

Small but cute

Walking over the wooden bridge already sets the tone for the visit tot this pretty little museum. When you enter the house they play beautiful classical music. It has a pretty tiled floor, beautiful views and exhibits of the time. Visited as part of a private tour so did not have to find public transport

A bit run-down but romantic lace.

Late-18th century building on a tiny island reachable by a wooden-bridge is a great location to visit when you are in the area. Although the building is neglected and paint is peeling every-where, the views it offers and the glimse into the 18th Century life is well worth the visit. The park is also nice, although it needs some attention. Tours are guided and information is interesting. While there, enjoy a lunch or a dinner at Old-Friends meat restaurant, you won't regret.

A bit of History
Apr 2017 • Friends
The tour guide Nunziante was perfect for this short but breathtaking tour of the Royal Borbonic hunting lodge of King Ferdinand IV of Borbon. A must see and a nice walk and quick sandwich in the park is refreshing too. Remember only open on Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings during the year. Excellent little park for photography

This little villa sits in the small Lake Fusaro in Bacoli, a small town about 20 kilometres west of Naples. I'm sure there's some form of public transport available to this location, but we drove here with a local. You reach the villa by walking through a small park, which does close around 7 p.m. so don't be disappointed to come here and find it closed. We got here about 20 minutes before sunset, but it was about to rain so I quickly set up my tripod and took some shots. The structure dates back to the 18th century and is very photogenic. The park itself was totally empty on a Friday evening and I was told the Bacoli region is a quaint area and popular with locals. If you decide to visit Naples someday and want to see something different from Pompeii, Sorrento, or the Amalfi Coast, just head to the opposite direction and explore this tropical park on a volcanic lake. The lake itself is very small and one could walk around it in less than an hour but the best views are from within the park. I heard entering the building costs 3€, but like I said one needs to be there when it's open.

Cute, for a 5 minute stop
Jul 2015 • Family
Locals refer to this as Pinocchio's house. It's very cute to see, take a picture and leave. Most of the time you are unable to get inside. It's really more of a photo opt stop.

Spend a little time visiting this quiet place
May 2016 • Couples
We visited this in the morning, when the park was fairly empty apart from the obligatory women having their photos taken by photographers. The building looks interesting sat in the lake linked by an arched bridge. It is only open at weekends and costs €3 to enter.I don't think there is much inside unless you are interested in architecture, but your €3 should go towards the maintenance of the area.We were fortunate to meet the gate keeper who explained that it was a Bourbon hunting lodge. He was kind and helpful.
I would classify this as a peaceful retreat especially if you are travelling here by car.Nice bar to have a drink afterwards.
