Guided tour was very beautiful and engaging, with some little-known anecdotes of the great poet and his family. Museum houses are often quite an unknown, but in this case it was a pleasant surprise, thanks also to the excellent preparation and dialectics of the Guide, who was able to involve the visiting group. The total duration, considering also the museum just over an hour. The ticket of 20 euros is not exactly cheap, entitles you to a discount of 2 euros to the Frasassi caves. Obviously also advisable to visit the village Recanati, which takes just over an hour.

Arrived "by chance" in Recanati, we made a try at the ticket office for a visit (not booked), and we were kindly placed in a high school class group! From the visit to the library, extraordinary and perfectly preserved, emerges a young Leopardi unpublished, surprising, member of a family even more surprising and avant-garde for those times in many respects. Beautiful and exciting bedrooms, staying there a few minutes in silence was like stepping into the past. Recommendation to visit the museum before visiting the residence, since the many finds (letters, books, dedications, objects) allow a better understanding of what is explained by the Guide, which is also well prepared. Not to be missed, especially if you are traveling with school-age boys.

We were hesitant about the full price of the experience (full ticket: 20€), but in my opinion they were all worth it given the excellent preparation of the Guide - Francesco - who accompanied us for about three quarters of an hour making us fall into the life of the poet at three hundred and sixty degrees, with anecdotes, history and positive irony. Small but complete museum. Recommendation this experience even for the most skeptical!

Ticket a little expensive but they were well spent, well-kept museum. The very prepared Guide was spectacular, he was able to transmit his knowledge very well giving us a cross-section of the Leopards for us unprecedented and exciting. Thank you!!

A beautiful morning spent in Recanati and in particular at Casa Leopardi. Beautiful house. We were lucky enough to have a very good guide who showed us around the building. Two flaws: the fairly expensive entrance fee; for two adults and an 8-year-old girl we spent € 53... and the guide's account that "stops" at Leopardi's life in Recanati and does not tell at least where he lived in the last years of his life, how he died, where he is buried leaving, especially children, with a story told without a worthy ending. For the rest, Casa Leopardi, must be seen.

Beautiful village that is well preserved, as well as the home and library of the great poet. Every corner tells of him. Suggestive and interesting is the guided tour outside with the actor wearing the clothes of the time and playing the poet. A stop not to be missed if you are nearby. Reservation is required

Describing in words the emotion felt during the visit is not easy. Inside the house it seems to breathe, thanks to the excellent explanation of the Guide, the air and everyday life of Leopardi and its components. I was particularly disturbed to see Giacomo's room, his bed and his bedside table still soaked in ink. It is an unmissable stop to get even closer to our dear Giacomo... and the shipwreck is sweet to me in this sea.

We visited the house, library and museum Leopardi. All exceptional. We had a guide Mr. Francis, very good, very prepared and nice. We also found a perfect organization both for the other museums: The immigration museum, the music museum and Beniamino Gigli, the tower, villa colloredo Mels.... etc.... We found a very organized town, well cared for and cares about its history and its citizens. We loved it, and we congratulate the municipality and the organizing bodies. We highly recommend going to Recanati.

Well organized tour. Perfectly restored rooms with furniture, paintings, original books. Guide was very good. The tour of the library takes about 45 minutes. The museum takes about half an hour. Cost of 20 euros per person.

Beautiful visit to the Leopardi family home. The ticket includes a guided tour (to be booked online) of the museum, the library and the house where Giacomo Leopardi grew up. It is a visit full of stories and anecdotes about the family's exceptional lifestyle.
I give four stars (and not five) because the ticket is too expensive for a visit lasting less than an hour.

I'll start right away by saying that the library+home+museum ticket at €20 is definitely too expensive. And despite everything I give my best because I'm happy to have spent it: it was one of the most beautiful guided tours that I remember. The guide's fluid speech accompanied us, always keeping the interest of the whole group very high, in the life of this great poet who was poorly understood at the time because he was a harbinger of messages from a later time... Now I would say timeless. Just as the history of the Leopardi family is timeless. It was truly exciting to see those places and that little square that inspired one of the most beautiful poems studied at school. I discovered sides of his personality that I didn't know and I will certainly rediscover part of his writings with a different awareness. It's really worth it, stop by here if you come to the Marche, but I repeat that such an experience should be within the reach of all budgets...

It is possible to visit either library+museum or library+apartments+museum. The visit to the museum is independent while in the library and in the house it is guided. Definitely worth the first combination, the guide was very knowledgeable. I preferred to avoid even seeing the house because it seemed excessive to add an additional €10 to the ticket for 15 minutes in the Leopardi apartments. The museum is well organized with clear explanations.

I bought the museum+house+library ticket, the visit was very interesting, the guide Francesco was very good and engaging. You can also get a library+museum ticket. I recommend seeing the museum first where the visit is independent, because there are some things that are linked to the visit to the library and the house. For families there is the possibility of purchasing a family ticket.

This monument is located in the center of the city of Recanati. The visit was pleasant, it allowed us to immerse ourselves in the childhood, adolescence and life of the poet Leopardi and to discover many curiosities about him and his family. The structure is well cared for and well maintained and the organization is excellent. However, we believe that the price of the experience is completely excessive, also considering the duration and quantity of things to see. However, if you are in the area it is absolutely a stop not to be missed.

Visiting the places inhabited by the genius Leopardi, our guide Emanuela made us go back in time and try and experience unique emotions. It almost seemed as if he had lived together with the poet, he debunked false myths that they teach you in school. I really enjoyed learning that Leopardi was basically not pessimistic but had a lot of hope. It's all very interesting from the museum, the multimedia rooms, the well-preserved house with period furnishings and finally the steep hill where we were able to identify with the poet with his gaze turned towards infinity.
The routes are very well organized and ticket prices are fair. Thanks we returned home satisfied and enriched with new knowledge.

Inside a beautiful 18th century building, still inhabited elsewhere, we visit the house where Leopardi was born and lived until his adolescence. It houses the notable library created by his father (often at the expense of family finances, and they then paid the consequences) and where he began his studies. The visit is certainly recommended: the guides, all very knowledgeable, will be able to passionately tell you the history of the Leopardi family with anecdotes and curiosities that we have certainly never read in our school books. Only the price is perhaps a little exaggerated.

Casa Leopardi is a very interesting place to visit, both for the poet's fame and for its artistic-cultural value. The library is truly immense and full of books on any subject.
The guide was very helpful and knowledgeable.
There are two types of visits: library only or library + home. Unfortunately, photographs cannot be taken inside, as the house is protected by copyright and is still inhabited by the descendants of Giacomo Leopardi.
Unfortunately, my ticket didn't include a visit to the poet's home... Maybe next time!! 😉

We set out with a preconceived idea of the poet, studied at school as a "cosmic" pessimist... We had the pleasure of being guided during the visit by Francesco... Who, with an amazing monologue of excellent acting value, gave us a different vision, opened our eyes to the character of a "brilliant" figure who marked modern philosophy. I was moved to tears
Thanks for everything, Francesco... Also from Giacomo (Leopardi, of course)

It was a truly beautiful experience: my family and I were guided by Francesco through Casa Leopardi. Finally, for the first time outside of some critical texts, I heard the truth about the wonderful and captivating figure of Giacomo Leopardi. It is a tour that I recommend to anyone who is even just passing through the area around Recanati. Fundamental. Francesco is a super professional guide as well as very good and very interesting: everyone was satisfied!
