Amazing experience from booking all the way to the last second. I want to give a special shoutout to our waiter Janos who was extremely knowledgeable and kind as well as to Kitti who helped us find a bus back to Budapest and Anna who diligently called me back during off-hours and helped me reserve a place. A beautiful location with attentive staff and even better wines. I highly recommend to everyone and would gladly come back!

Very modern commercial expanding winery. Host was very knowledgeable. Served 4 wines: Pinot Gris, jurist rose, Chardonnay, and Pinot noir. All very good.

When visiting Budapest you'll undoubtedly notice a city in the midst of a renaissance. The dichotomy of old world Hungary and that of it's modern revival is ubiquitous; from architecture to food, in the faces of it's people, music, etc.
This stark contrast between old and new is unmistakable when visiting Etyeki Kuria Winery. Set amidst a backdrop of ancient farmlands, vineyards and centuries old family wine cellars stands this beautifully modern concrete and glass wine facility that makes some of the best new wines I've tried in Europe. Rather than stand as an insult to the ancient picturesque countryside, the modern architecture seems to complement its surroundings as a proud symbol of Hungary's next best step forward.
Hungarian wines have been largely stereotyped by their best-known dessert wine Tokaji and the red wine Bull's Blood of Eger. A visit to Etyeki Kuria will surprise you with a variety of fabulous selections of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blancs, my favorite Rose and a Pinot Noir that is becoming the pride of Budapest. You'll have a hard time choosing just one or two favorites...(Leave some Rose for me!).
Whether you are into wines or not, a trip to this winery is a must if you really want to experience the heart and soul of this beautiful city. If you're lucky, Sara Matolcsy, the owner, will delight you with a tour and fantastic historical and vinticultural experience.

We had a tour of the winery followed by dinner as part of a business conference I was on recently.
The location is fantastic with amazing views over the hills and down towards the city. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food and wines were delicious.
I would highly recommend a visit to Etyeki Kuria

The design elements of the bottle labels and interior design of the building are fabulous. I didn't let the label influence me -- the wine was very good on its own! We bought a few bottles to enjoy on our river cruise and the wine was equally good later. You don't see much of the wine making. They have a glass floor since there are not cellar tours, which was nice, but still not as great a wine tour as others so 4 rather than 5 stars.

Attended a corporate evening event at this winery in October, 2014. What a great experience! The owner was out tour and tasting guide; very knowledgeable and what a great sense of humor. The facility was ultra-modern, clean, and perfect for a group event. We tasted 6 total varieties over the span of two hours, with full descriptions of all. We had plenty of water between glasses, and bread with meats and cheeses. I'm not a wine drinker but did enjoy most of the different varieties, especially the Pinot. Really enjoyed the narration from our hostess - you can tell she is passionate about their product. Would love to return for a daytime visit, but in the meantime will HIGHLY recommend taking advantage of this gem!

It was our pleasure to host such an international group at our winery.
Please return to us at your next trip to Budapest. We might show you the secret how to put together a blend.

The beautiful view and charming tasting room made this an unforgettable experience, even in February when we visited. We were welcomed with wonderful hospitality by the manager, Sara Matolcsy. The wine is noteworthy and fantastic. It is well worth a drive from Budapest.....an unforgettable experience for us!

A very nice experience on a sunday morning. The wines are really soft and fruity, and the atmosphere is exceptional.
Ask the waiters for some extraordinary wines! They'll recommend you some cool ones.

This week I organized a trip with my colleagues for our client, who works for a big international company to Etyek.
We had the whole house, we could bring our own branded decoration.
The contact person was really kind from the beginning, she helped us a lot.
The food was tasty and the winery's wines are really good.
The prizes are not that cheap, but we are talking about a beautiful and hidden treasure in the mountains.
I can't wait to take my boyfriend there.
