We stayed at Palota Hotel Lillafured just before Christmas and it was lovely to see the hanging gardens covered by snow.
Anyway, there are six terraces: encounters and youth, waterfall, flowers, music, poetry, sculpture.
A must to see place!

It is a garden with several floors nicely arranged with flowers and statues and quotes from Jozsef Attila a famous hunagrian poet.
By visiting the garden you can reach at the highest waterfall from Hungary.

This area is one of my favourite place in Hungary. It’s near Hotel „Palotaszallo” and Hamori lake. There are six terraces: encounters and youth, waterfall, flowers, music, poetry, sculpture. We were walking from the top and saw beautiful flowers, the highest waterfall of Hungary, the statue of Attila Jozsef (famous Hungarian poet), playground for children and the entrance of Anna-cave. It’s free and a wonderful must-see attraction.

Lillafured was such a nice experience all around. We started with coffee inside the hotel where we met the nicest barista, Eva, and enjoyed a delightful treat with coffee. Then we walked around the entire gardens including the hanging gardens and waterfall, then back to Hamori Lake for a rowboat ride. We spent about 3 hours in total with teenagers! Lovely!

From the lake and the castle, the gardens are a short walk. British style design with statues and benches to rest.
