An other must see attraction if you are visiting Lillafüred.
There is a guided tour in every hour. (10.30, than 11.30 etc)
A small jacket is recommended because of the cool temperature inside.
Walking comfortable shoes or hiking shoes in advantage.
Memorable guided tour for children and adults :)

WARNING: no English speaking guide
Sep 2018 • Friends
We decided to give it 2 stars only because there was not an English speaking guide. The cave was beautiful and interesting. However, if you don't know much about caves or about this particular one, you will definitely feel completely lost. Although the guide only spoke Hungarian, he seemed to be very nice and enthusiastic. We enjoyed seeing the cave but feel that the experience would have been much more enriching if we had an English speaking guide or English subtitles or audio.

Nice cave

Nice enough cave if you're into such things.
If you're not then it's just another hole in the ground.

A really special cave

The cave is just under Hotel Palota and is a unique cave as it has been explained by the guide. It is also an excellent program on a rainy day.

Well worth a visit. ..

Tours of the caves start on the hour. Every hour. Cost about £10 for 2 adults and 2 kids. Tour lasts about 30 minutes. But only in hungarian. Don't let that put you off. Definitely better if you have someone to interpret. But the cave is one of only 6 similar in the world. The roots of trees can be seen turned into stalagmites. Enjoyable visit we went in November so not crowded peak season probably have to book well in advance

Ok but not great
Sep 2016 • Couples
We have seen several caves around the world, and were told that this one was special. To our astonishment, people even took their approx 9 months old baby in. Once in, one is led into a very tiny hall, and then shown around very quickly. Within half an hour, we were outside again, rather disappointed. The structures within the cave were special indeed to see, but with a guide that only speaks Hungarian, it dampens the experience. To us, this felt like a tour in the cellar of our grandmother. If you want to see a real great cave, drive up to Aggtelek and see one of the the Baradla caves instead of this one.

Have seen better in Slovenia
Aug 2016 • Couples
We stay at the Hotel Palota so we decided to check out the Anna Cave. Got there before 12pm and waited at the gate. Turned out we have to buy ticket at the office inside the turret (posting a pic). So we missed the 12pm tour cuz it was full. We went back the next morning at 10am and only got the tour because there was at least another couple which makes it 4 persons to have a tour. They most likely only do the short tour in Hungarian as well. My husband and i have seen the amazing and large caves in Skocjan and Postojna, Slovenia which were so much more to see. I would only recommend this to someone who has not seen any caves before.
