First of all all communication with Rok was professional, prompt and very helpful. Our tour started in Budapest with our driver Peter. There were 4 of us. We visited Budapest, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia over 9 days. The hotels were luxurious and breakfasts amazing. The guides provided at each destination were friendly and informative. Such interesting places such as the Bone Church and the Wieliczka salt mine are must sees and Auschwitz will remain in our memories. Peter was alway punctual, prepared and we had a great trip with him. Thank you Movis, it could not have been a better trip.

Rok Puppis of Movis Private Tours organised a tour in a van driven by a guide, Mateja Radkovic over 18 days in September/October 2019. There were 5 of us from Singapore on the tour, which started in Sarajevo and went through Bosnia, Montenegro, Croatia and Slovenia. Even though we booked our trip late, Rok was able to organise good quality accommodation everywhere we stayed. Our guide Mateja was excellent and we all enjoyed her company. She speaks fluent English, was a safe and careful driver over long distances, was able to recommend excellent restaurants and had an encyclopedic knowledge of the past history of all the countries visited and places of local interest. Mateja also went out of her way to cater for the specific needs of a less mobile member of our group, arranging for alternative options for him whilst the rest of us pursued more energetic activities. One member of our group was affected by the collapse of Adria Airways (the Slovenian airline) and we were impressed by the efforts put in by Mateja and Rok to make alternative arrangements for her. We also found Rok to be very prompt in responding any emails that were sent to him. We are very happy to use Movis Private Tours and Mateja again for tours in other parts of Eastern Europe. We (2 couples) had a great two week tour of Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro. After listening to our desires, Movis put together a wonderful tour. We covered a lot of miles, but were able to change hotels only every other night (except for a single overnight in Plitvice Lakes). Our driver/guide Tomaž was extremely knowledgable about the history of the area. He was fun and flexible. He quickly made adjustments to the itinerary as weather or our desires indicated. Would highly recommend Movis to anyone traveling to this area of the world.

We had a great 8 day tour of Slovenia, Croatia, and Montenegro. Our guide, Sanjin Černoš, was outstanding. We drove in a roomy Mercedes van. Sanjin is an expert in history and geography, and knows all the communities and many of the people along the way. No canned talks - just what was really important, and very adaptable. The highlights of the tour were Lake Bled, wine tasting at Movia Wines near Smartno (it was an astounding experience with excellent innovation wines and the most gracious and engaging host, Vesna Kristančič). Plitvice Lakes, Split, Hvar, Dubrovnik and Bay of Kotor were all great. The accommodations, 3 star, were top notch. All of our needs were taken care of, and it was a pleasure traveling with Sanjin. It was also a pleasure working with Rok Puppis, who set up our tour. He really understood our preferences.

We had a wonderful time touring the Balkans over 18 days, starting in Slovenia, then bypassing Croatia to get to Bosnia-Herzegovina, then Montenegro, then Albania, then Macedonia, then Kosovo, and finally Serbia. We saw so many things and learned so many things. I’ve always argued that private tours are the best - you can craft your own bespoke itineraries, determine the pace, cram as many things (or as little) as you would like in the daily schedules, and have space for the odd requests or change in timing. But even with a private tour, many things can go wrong - poorly planned itinerary, vacation stops that weren’t worth it, ineffective tour driver-director, bad accommodations, incompetent local guides, road accidents, thefts, illness, bad weather, etc. But we’ve had none of those things, in no small part to the exceptional planning of Rok Puppis, the CEO-owner of MoOVIS Private Tours, a Ljubljana-based inbound operator specialising in private multi-Balkan state sojourns. Movis created a perfect road itinerary for me and the wife - we made all the right stops, spent the right amount of time in the right locations, crossed the borders at the right places, never drove too much without a stopover, used the right places as home base - Mostar, Budva, Gjirokaster, Skopje, and Belgrade, saw all the best attractions that the stops had to offer. Re accommodations, from a location standpoint, they were all perfect choices. A few of them could certainly improve their professional staff services and maintenance of their facilities and rooms but I believe this is par for the Balkan course. Besides, for most of the choices, I suggested alternatives based on Trip Advisor reviews. The really good ones included Ljubljana’s Cubo, Sarajevo Marriott Courtyard, Skopje Marriott, and Kapaonik’s Gorski. Peter Cercek was a very effective and efficient tour driver-director. He knew a lot about all the countries we visited, having been in those countries more than once in his professional career. He was very familiar with the intricacies of border crossings. He was a safe driver and being a driver myself, I appreciated his caution and unwillingness to take driving risks. Not once did we come close to having any road accident. Peter’s english was impeccable - I’ve actually never met a non-native english speaker as facile with the language as he was. Maybe it was the Austro-Hungarian-Prussian side of his Slovenian heritage but I appreciated his work discipline, his punctuality, his desire to stick to the itinerary that Rok Puppis had laid out, his caution when it came to estimating driving times and possible road issues. Of course there were several stops where we had no location tour guide since it wasn’t very important and he did his part in leading and accompanying us and sharing whatever he knew. We also appreciated his desire to always be helpful - for example, my wife has to go to the toilet quite often (me too but a bit less frequent) and Peter would always look for the gas station where we could relieve ourselves. The wife wanted to hear Catholic Sunday mass in English - we had failed to discuss this with Mr. Puppis - and Peter went out of his way to work with the guides to find us the time and place. We moved with very heavy luggage since we did 10 days in cold and wet Ireland before this Balkan holiday and were picking up gifts everywhere we went. Peter was game to keep loading and unloading all the heavy stuff and doing porter work himself when the smaller hotels had no porter staff. And we appreciated the new cold bottle of water every morning. Re the local tour guides that MOVIS arranged, they were all, without exception, very good. We would probably rate Samra in Sarajevo, Maja in Belgrade, Kristina in Skopje, Marco in Nis, and Petrit in Prizren as the best among the very good bunch. As for the rest, we were lucky to not have anything stolen, from our person or from the van (Peter was also very careful where he parked); we were lucky not to have gotten ill at any time. Also lucky that there were no border issues at all. And because of Peter’s driving, ‘lucky’ to not have any accidents while traveling. Even the weather cooperated, except for that rainy and cold afternoon in Skopje. To sum up, this was one great holiday for the wife and I. I rate it a 10 out of 10! Looking back, I'm absolutely convinced we chose the right and best tour organization for our vacation. And if any of my relatives or friends would inquire re a private tour to any of the Balkan states, we would, without hesitation, point them in MOVIS' direction.
