About
The Rizman winery once again started its production in 2006, skipping an entire generation of the Štimac family. A new vineyard was planted in new locations, the necessary infrastructure was built and a completely new winegrowing region was created in Croatia. The Štimac family is the first investor and ideological initiator of the new winegrowing region, which includes more than 80 hectares of vine plants in 2012. After planting the vine plants and constructing the infrastructure, which includes a private water spring, a winery with modern equipment was also built in the vineyard. It bears the name Rizman in memory of the first winemaker in the Štimac family. All our future agricultural products will also be presented with that name and logo. The best known member of the Štimac family is Igor, a former member of the Croatian national football team, who won third place in the World Championship in France in 1998 together with the rest of the Croatian team.

- sagaryvarmaChiswick, United Kingdom27 contributionsWarmth Hospitality and QualityRizwan Winery has an absolutely immaculate tasting room with a wonderful view of the Peljesac bridge and the adjacent valley. The wines were great. Having tried the three varieties - Red, Rose and White, we loved the premium White wine Nonno which was a mix of Posip and Chardonnay varieties of grapes. The sparkling rose wine was an icing on the cake as it was not part of the tasting menu but the team were kind enough to share it as they had opened a few bottles for another large group visiting the place. Setting aside the technicalities of the wine tasting, what touched my soul was that I was visiting Dubrovnik in Croatia on a holiday to celebrate my Wife’s 41st Birthday and this place made it special with a small treat of cheese, crackers, home made cake and special sparkles to mark the occasion. I was blown away by the warmth and hospitality of Snjezana who made the occasion very special by helping me plan this just a day prior to our visit. She and Anamaria ran the place like a professional with very high quality of service and warmth for all the guests. This place is highly recommended for wine testing and special occasions. It will always be close to our heart. We will make it a point to visit it the next time we are in Dubrovnik.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 13, 2024

We stopped for lunch and chose the wine tasting with apps. Amazing wine, and fabulous food. The staff is very knowledgeable on the wine, the area, the history of the winery. The most amazing views in the area of the coast and nearby islands. I managed to grab two bottles of very good red, and was able to check them in a bag and get them home. A MUST stop if able too.Visited May 2024Traveled with friendsWritten May 17, 2024

The Rizman winery has good wines and a view, and that's the only good thing this winery can offer. The staff and professionalism and guest care is TERRIBLE. On their official website, it is written that a reservation is not required for certain wine tastings. I called anyway to check, but they did not answer the 4 calls made by me and another person. When we arrived at the winery, the disinterested staff did not welcome us nicely and they made us sit inside and we felt as if we were not welcome. Think twice if you want to visit the Rizman winery.

Beautiful place to relax on the way between Split and Dubrovnik. The tasting flight was informative and wines were decent to very good. We chose the flight with snacks which included the best anchovies we had during our entire stay in Croatia. Highly recommend.

We stopped at Riznam stop shop on the way to Peljesac because we were curious about this wonderful Pošip. We was offered one Pošip Brime only. The wine was very average and nothing special. Very poor in minerals and even tiring in consumtion. The widely advertizmed Pošip turned out to be a just regular table white wine. Why not to drive 30 km more and grab a delicious Rukatac from Pelejsac or even more and do one day trip to Korcula island to buy real Pošip.

Excellent winery just a bit off the road on the way to Dubrovnik. The staff is very friendly, welcoming and they all spoke English. Very good pošip and plavac mali and everything was organic. The food was also quite good and they make organic olive oil as well. Lots to like and worth the trip!

Fantastic setting and great wine. The most amazing views looking down on the vineyards and the islands. The wine was also excellent. We like the Posip white and the Primus Plavac Mali red. The cheese plate made for a great light lunch.

We enjoyed our stop and wine tasting/food pairing. The food was nicely plated, the wines were generally good and the view was fantastic. Nice place to stop and relax between Dubrovnik and Split or after exploring Ston.

I had an amazing time at Rizman Winery in Croatia! The wines were fantastic, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The views of the vineyards and surrounding hills were breathtaking. A must-visit for wine lovers and anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of Croatia.

This winery is a "must" visit. Nestled on the hills of Slivno Ravno, this place is lovely for some wine tasting and a cheese & pršut platter. They're white wine was our favourite and we bought 4 bottles to take home.
And the views of the coast from this place are breathtaking. I truely believe this place will get very busy over the next 5 years however it's still very quiet at the moment.
Well worth the visit.

I'm trying to make a booking but I'm getting no reply from either the email address listed here nor the one listed on their website. Does anyone have any tips on how to make a booking without having to actually telephone Croatia?
