Lovely visit to this village. Nice shops and friendly people would return. Found a parking space easily. Busy road through the centre of the long street but you can go down one side and up the other.

We were glad we walked in to Yarm as we were staying just outside in the Moho. I think it was quicker to walk in than drive the mile and a half. Clean and well kept. A lovely little market town with a good choice of shops (although not a baker or butcher). If taking a car - parking looked horrendous…

I previously wrote a review in early April as wanted to share the beautiful walk we had taken along the river, walking along the Teesdale Way all the way to Middleton One Row.

We enjoyed this stretch of our walk so much I returned end of June with another family member to find the walk completely unrecognisable!! It was all soooo overgrown, in places there was barely a path at all! My allergies were so bad as we were wading through hip high undergrowth and brushing so much pollen into the air. The only reason that I am glad we returned was the poppies were out in full bloom and there were some spectacular fields of poppies. I guess the walk has its pros and cons whatever the time of year!

The boardwalks had degraded a LOT over the past couple of months and were barely passable in places. In fact part of the path had been roped off and it looked as if new boardwalk was being installed. Unfortunately there were no detour signs further up the path so it wasn't until we reach the construction area that we realised the way forward was blocked and we had to turn back. A sign beforehand would have been appreciated!

In April we had beautiful views of the river from this walk, however by end of July the overgrowth entirely blocked out any views of the river. We did however have a couple of gorgeous fields full of poppies in full bloom... So pros and cons!

Had a stroll in Yarm high street to do a bit of shopping though parking a major problem here not enough spaces and always ques of cars passing through but we found a spot timed well as someone pulling out.some decent shops here and a some well known and some independent.plenty of cafes/restaurants and prices on the high side especially in restaurants but Yarm is supposed to be a posh area in Cleveland.a few shops closed or getting refurbished and very surprised the Black bull pub closed as short staffed, that was the place to go I’ve bern told back in the day and was most popular pub for meet ups.cobbled street and toilets in centre high street and nice for a visit for a couple of hours or so but beware get there early to park.

We are walking the Teesdale Way and one stage took us from Yarm Bridge near the Blue Bell pub, across the road and along the river, all the way to Middleton One Row.

This is a beautiful river walk, especially so as the sun was shining in a blue blue sky. There are a few little boardwalk sections, so I imagine it does get very muddy, but was dry when we visited.

We would highly recommend this walk.

A delightful high street with a very varied mix of shops, places to eat and ample parking shame the council have started charging to park when the business sector need footfall and visitors want to get out and spend in local businesses some upmarket shops and eateries on the high street as well as gift shops and even a pop up shop which changes daily. From an old fashioned general household store to designer label clothing it’s all here. If you enjoy local history and picturesque views you will enjoy a stroll along the high street.

A good selection of shops, cafes and bars, 1 small supermarket and practically ZERO parking. You have to be lucky to find a parking space at your first attempt, otherwise you will have to sit & wait

A great Friday evening out whilst visiting friends as we enjoyed food and drinks in three different places on the high street.
