    Can’t recommend it enough.
Was brought this gift as a present and booked it for my birthday. Was apprehensive of what it would be like. But I can honestly say me and my partner was blown away at the beauty and serenity of it. Liz the hostess was fantastic. Informative, passionate and attentive. You could really tell she took enjoyment from us enjoying ourselves. Have recommended to everyone we’ve spoke to since who is into wine. Even if you’re not, it’s a beautiful escape from the modern rush of life.

    Fantastic group activity
The vineyard and wines were lovely but hostess Liz was the absolute star of the show. We had a tour of the vineyard then enjoyed a flight of wines with a picnic we brought with us. Such a relaxed atmosphere, bring your friends and let Liz take care of the wine.

    Extremely enjoyable
We came on a hen do here and had a beautiful experience. Liz and her partner are artisanal wine makers and you can see the thought and detail in the product. The wine itself is delicious and tastes incredibly fresh (not sure how that is) but it feels special. It’s very exciting to taste English wine and still get all the same notes and taste as wine from across the globe. We loved sitting by the water and Liz supported us with bringing down another bottle to keep us going! Thanks to Liz, can’t recommend enough to anybody wanting a UK wine experience.

    A lovely afternoon
I visited the vineyard yesterday along with my friends, and had an absolutely wonderful afternoon. We were greeted with a lovely glass of elderflower wine, and given an introduction to the history of the winery by a knowledgeable volunteer. We then had a tour of the vineyard, where we were able to take in the beautiful scenery and landscapes. After that we were treated to 4 glasses of extremely flavoursome wines - these tasted very fresh, and unique compared to standard wines that I have tasted before. Liz was an amazing hostess - she was passionate, kind, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the different types of wine on offer. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a fun and unique afternoon!

    Rothley Vineyard Tour
I booked a tour of the vineyard for my dad’s birthday. He and my husband went on Sunday for the event and thought it was absolutely excellent. Liz was so informative and entertaining and there was fantastic wine to enjoy. I would highly recommend Rothley vineyard for a tour. It was also very easy to book and arrange.

Don’t miss out on this superb experience !
What a treat. Having been to quite a few vineyards this must rate as one of the best. We had a warm friendly welcome from Liz and an informative introductory talk where the grapes were processed and we tasted the elderflower wine. We were then let loose on a self guided tour around the vineyard before making our way to seated idyllic spot by a babbling brook. Liz then presented a superb sparkling wine which we all gave top marks too. Then we returned to the conservatory due to the pouring rain and spent a delightful 2 hours tasting a wide variety of wines. If this was not enough Liz assured us we were welcome to continue to enjoy the wine accompanied by the locally delivered fish+chip supper. Liz could not have been a more generous and informative host. We had a fantastic tour / evening and all departed agreeing what an amazing job Liz has done with the vineyard and thoroughly deserves her recent gold+ two silver awards for her wines! Thank you!

    Wine tasting with a view
This place is an amazing hidden gem. This was our first time visiting a vineyard and we loved it. Liz, the hostess could not have been more attentive and told us all about how the wine was made. But the real magic comes when you get to take in all the beauty, as you sip your wine on the jetty. The view is breathtaking and so peaceful. We went for the Tête-à-Tête wine tasting option. We couldn’t finish all the wine so we took a bottle of the sparkling wine home with us. We even bought an extra two bottles of Rosè, because it was that good! I could not recommend this place enough.

Wonderful afternoon supporting English wine, perfect!
Fabulous trip to the wine estate with family - made all the better by such a congenial host. We took my elderly parents just yesterday as a present for my Dad's birthday and we all had a lovely time. Liz, the owner is wonderful and very kind. She shared with us some interesting information and told us all about the estate and some of its history. We sampled some of her wonderful wines and they were really lovely - we bought some more to take home, at very good prices. We enjoyed the picnic tea we had brought with us and sat in the warm conservatory as the weather was a little changeable. The tea was of course accompanied by more wine! Highly recommended and thank you Liz x

I booked a visit for my friend's 60th birthday and we had a fabulous time . Very relaxed and friendly. It was an interesting tour and the location is stunning. We took a picnic and ate it in the little gazebo in the grounds which was so pretty. Liz, the owner, provided plates and cutlery which was thoughtful. If the weather had been nicer we could have eaten on the jetty by the river. Very generous wine samples to try and a bottle of sparkling wine were included. Wines are all delicious, but I especially recommend the King Richard . I highly recommend a visit, this exceeded expectations and was brilliant value for money Thank you to everyone there who made this such a memorable visit.

A wonderful experience. I came here for my hen do and Liz made us feel so relaxed and welcome. The tour was really interesting and the wine tasting was brilliant. The wines were all absolutely delicious and we all can’t wait to come back again. The location was absolutely beautiful and we felt transported out of Leicestershire.
I will certainly return to try another one of the tasting experiences and I shall recommend this to friends and family.

Thank you again to Liz for such a wonderful time.

It began with a great talk from Steve about how the vineyard began and then had a tour around the vineyard. A very interesting tour detailing the process of their wine making. It ended with Laura giving a talk about tasting and flavours of each wine. A very enjoyable experience and would highly recommend it. All covid saf.

What a gem! We had no idea that this place even existed so it was such a wonderful discovery for us.

We did the Tete a Tete wine tasting experience to celebrate my husband’s 40th and we had such a wonderful afternoon - the glorious sunshine also helped here! Although even in cooler temperatures it would be a lovely experience I’m sure.

Liz is a wonderfully welcoming host and was so endearing to us. Liz set us at ease immediately and it was great to hear about and her and her husband’s passion for making Leicestershire wine.

The wine itself was very good - (who knew that was possible being in Leicestershire and not the south of France!) - So much so that we purchased some before we left.

The main attraction of this experience was the privacy, it felt very special to wander around a vineyard alone and then make our way to the jetty to enjoy a chilled bottle of their finest fizz. We were not rushed and felt we had all the time in the world to soak in the sun, the location and enjoy the wine at our leisure.

The setting is stunning and it was a wonderful way to grab some ‘us’ time and celebrate in style.

Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend as something different to do.

What a great way to spend an afternoon!
Although we live locally and had passed this place millions of times, we had never ventured inside.
We had a really informative talk from Steve in the courtyard while tasting some elderflower wine then he walked us down to the vines. Best to wear sensible shoes with no heels for this bit! We learnt lots about the wine process and also some history of the local area. At this point we tasted some blackberry wine!
We then had a wine tasting in the garden consisting of sparkling, white, rose and red wine. Laura was in charge and once again was really interesting and certainly knew her stuff. Owner Liz was very welcoming and very approachable.
If you are contemplating a visit, do it!

A Fabulous evening spent with family on the 'Safari tour. Our tour began with Liz explaining the brewing process then we were free to wander around the vineyard. a walkie talkie was provided to communicate then at certain points Liz brought various wines to sample. On one occasion she brought a 'Mystery' wine, she asked us what we thought our wine was made from, we all got it wrong. i'm not giving you the answer however its a wine we have never tasted before.
Various wines were provided as we ate our picnic
Liz is the perfect hostess, a very knowledgeable lady in here profession and also in the history of the area.
Allow yourself enough time to relax and enjoy your time here. There were six of us, we were there for four hours. We would have stayed longer however our Taxi had arrived!
