Great walk on the sea defences
Oct 2021
Very good place for a brisk walk in windy October weather, not a lot going on here but interesting coastal and cross channel shipping. In the very far distance you can see the WW2 Maunsell anti aircraft fortifications, rusting in the sea off of the Isle of Sheppy. The beach, mainly consisting of pebbles is separated from the children's park ,and the residential area by a impressive, and substantive, storm protection barrage . This was built in response to the 1953 - a major disaster for all of the east coast of England, including the Isle of Sheppy - this was a serious threat to life on the island, as it was in January 1978. On our windy walk it was easy to see why the sea defences were required.

Quiet in mid August.
Aug 2021 • Couples
Wow mid August and parking spaces no problem, places to eat no problem, good selection of shops, but no public toilets! Have to use tescos toilets.
Tide comes in quite a long way, but then you know it has been washed over daily.
Lovely long walk along the prom.
Safe swimming area with lifeguard on duty.
Need to be mindful of keeping footwear on as lots of sharp shells about.
No tourist traps ie arcades etc.
Had a lovely time

Sep 2020 • Couples
Not much going on at all the way the beach is designed it's detached from the amusements and other things going on.

Nice, but!
Aug 2020
Family of five had a really grand time here. Kids enjoyed the parks while m wife and I chilled out with an ice cream.

Pebble beach is nice but if your going into the sea I suggest a pair of diving shoes due to the amount of sharp rocks and shells in the water.

The changing face of the beach
Feb 2020 • Solo
There’s always something different to see every day. Five minute walk from the town centre and less than that to a park, amusement arcade, play area and supermarket

A good place to walk and get some fresh air.
Friendly people in the area.
Good for dog walking and fishing.
Great for a family walk but watch the tides as come in quickly due to shallow parts.

What is There to Like?
Sep 2019
Sheerness like the rest of the Isle of Sheppey Is a dead loss, certainlyat the beginning of September. However my 4 year old daughter had never been on a pebble beach before and this was mentall with excitement. 30 mins later she realised that once you've seen 1 pebble you seen them all and after 15 minutes in the tiny arcade, she was ready to move on. Give it a miss and that goes for the whole Isle.

A pebbly beach
Aug 2019 • Solo
This pebbly teach seemed popular today and the sun shone brightly. It lacks sand and the view is over Southend on the other side of the river. Not the best, but it seemed popular today and is close to the local station and high street.
