The staff make you feel very welcome have special live music nights and karaoke. It’s in a very old part of town so it is an old pub with the old world charm.

A few steps from the Red Lion, the Albion is worth a visit. Like its neighbour, it's a proper pub, quiet but one for the locals. The landlord is friendly and affable. The decor is pleasantly faded and the theme is Irish (as is the landlord). There's some benches outside on the pavement, possibly shared with the decent chippy next door. Unfortunately there wasn't any ale available on draft. I worry for this type of pub, as I do for Blue Town in general. If you're ever in Sheerness, leave the town centre, cross the bridge to Blue Town and have a look around. It's rather special.
