This is a relatively small part of the ground forces museum as a part of IWM Duxford. The displays do a great job of reciting the story of the regiment and outlining some of the places the regiment has been deployed. The displays are well planned and presented. Entrance is via the IWM Duxford so fees area a bit steep if you are coming just for this museum but taken with the other exhibits, it is very good value for money. The land warfare exhibits were a bonus for me as I did not expect such great displays of Army equipment in an air museum.

So much to see, touch, smell. Interactive displays, Tommy gun, rifle, grenade etc... If you do not come here, you are doing our servicemen and allies a disservice.

Within IWM and added bonus with lots to see and learn and best of all dressing up clothes for an excited child. Didn’t expect to see so much and enjoyed learning about the regiment and history

This display within the land warfare building is always interesting. It’s good to see how regiments have developed over the years. Lots of interesting stuff.

When you visit Duxford IWM spend time here and walk over to the Memorial. The memorial lists all the Anglians who have paid the ultimate price for their service to the UK. The collection inside the Land Warfare hall is very impressive - especially the ‘family tree’.

This small area within the land warfare hall, and tells the store of what is now the Royal Anglian regiment, through the years of combining other county regiments.
It is well told with great exhibits
Outside there is a formal memorial to the men of the regiment which is fitting and impressive

Some interesting collectables, well presented in most cases but missing some relevant weapons of the periods covered.
Found the Montgomery presentation interesting but it glossed over many of his deficiencies. But that seems to happen for all the War leaders so not unexpected.

This is the furthest hanger on the Duxford site - it took us at least half an hour to walk there. It is set out on two levels, you can see everything from above on the walkway through the middle, and then from below which can be accessed by stairs at both ends or a lift at the far end of the walkway. There are also toilets in this hanger - but no refreshments so take a bottle of water and a sandwich with you as it is a very long way back to the cafe at the site entrance. They called up a mini bus to take us back as I was too tired to do the journey. It is very well laid out with films that you can select to view on the walkway. Down below the exhibits are very well laid out and quite extensive. It may be a long walk but it is so worth the trip - We spent about 2 hours in this hanger alone.

This is place is great especially if you take the children as it is very educational for them. It is nice to be able to look round at your own pace and take everything in.
