Arrived with the intention of spending a couple of hours here. After a full day of exploring we decided to head back for a second day. The boys enjoyed a ride in a WW2 plane, additional cost to the entry fee but really worth the money. There's lots of places to eat but we took a picnic on the second... More

Visited the air show sat 27 May 2017, first thing that hit us was walking from main entrance, all of the traders have disappeared? None on the right hand side, our favourite stall was the man with the army clothing, he's gone. Left hand side lots of spaces, three t shirt stalls, books stalls aplenty, mainly dominated by large aviation... More

Duxford is essentially the air annex of the Imperial War Museum. While the collection is not the largest in the world (I'm guessing that prize goes to the Smithsonian's combined DC and Dulles locations for the National Air & Space Museums), the collection is valuable and well presented. There are some unique examples - the Concorde and a Vulcan -... More

Whilst at the Duxford Spring Airshow on 29/05/17, we were invited, as Friends of Duxford, to try a new exhibition to celebrate Duxford's Centenary before it opens to the public on 16th June. DX17 is a brilliant way of sharing anecdotes and stories, as soundbites, of life on the base over the years. You are given headphones and a receiver... More

We came to air show today as my son was helping out with the car parking (he is an air cadet). We also had my granddaughter with us....so I was not nervous about how she would react to the noise of the planes she is only 2yrs old. She absolutely loved it....and when we were walking round and met some... More

It is impossible to do justice to this fantastic place in one visit - one could take a day just to do each hanger. It is a great place to entertain children too - plenty of interactive exhibits which they enjoy and have fun with. It was a return visit and won't be the last although, with a captive audience,... I have just been to the Spring Air Show 2017 which was excellent. My son wanted a cooked breakfast when we arrived and previously we have had a nice fresh breakfast at the Armoury Café. This has now been "improved". For £6.50 plus a drink you get a bread roll, a cold tomato, watery scrambled eggs, cold fatty bacon folded... More

A great air show with quite a good flying list, including old faithful like the B17 "Sally B" and guests birds. The wind was very strong and so the tried their best to change the plan to suit the various aircraft ability to deal with strong wings; small number of cancellations. A very good show.

Back again this year and much as my first review the airshow show was first class, not too busy this year maybe because of the "Manchester" thing. Everything about this place is spot on except the outside vendors that are allowed onsite surely Duxford can set a limit on what these people are charging. I know i could take a... More

This is a super day out. Not sure about the admission pricing though with the '10% voluntary donation'. It should be one price on my opinion not two! However this is a superb museum with so much to see, possibly not enough time to see everything properly in one day. The highlight for me was the Land Warfare section where... More
